Laurie Bird; I loved her in "Two-Lane Blacktop." I've met and gotten hooked up with cute chicks like her character in this classic "road" movie. Can't hang on to them: Chicks such as this one are like birds, they fly away the first chance they get. Very sad that she committed suicide. I'd be devastated, too, if she was my girlfriend.

Apparently, when this song was first written back many years ago, it was a faster track than this, but I much prefer this romantic interpretation. Art really does it justice. Thanks for posting.
