  • The second interview where ODB is sober LOL!

  • dude I can understand what ODB is saying!!!

  • that fool GZA was tryna fuck

  • As a matter of fact, the name of the song is called words from the genius. I have the album. The gza is my favorite member of the wu-tang clan. Theres a reason why they called him the back bone of the whole joint, and the head.

  • He is not freestyling. It's from a song off words from the genius album.

  • ODB and GZA look like twins

  • 1 day ago ,ya it iz

  • baby girl _dew

  • Wow this video is a rare gem

  • beautiful legs

  • GZA's freestyle is better than most of modern hiphop combined.

  • ha find ich toll hihi

  • words from the Genius, since 1991

  • Woooooooow ! Thanks for posting

  • hip hop love x

  • ODb is actually normal :)

  • GZA used part of this freestyle in Severe Punishment on Wu-Tang Forever. Pretty cool.

  • now thats a legit freestyle! fuck wayne and all these new rappers

  • gza has style for daysss

  • if she knew that time that shes talkin to the rhiphop gods....

  • Yeahhhh! She a groupie

  • ODB just wants to bang that chick ..

  • Man I luv this wish I could get more of some old Wu- Footage.

  • THIS IS ABSOLUTELY CRAZY! That must be the oldest footage i've every seen from ANY wu member. 1991 damnnn! They came a long way for sure. Veterans of the game. back in 1991 i was 5, 5 years old and i didnt even know that there was such a thing called hiphop yet. Look how sane and fit ODB looks here!!! I think besides RZA ODB was the REAL genius of the entire Wu...its a thin line between genius and insanity..and as the years passed by this guy crossed this line for sure! he was full of energy

  • @xtoprojects Some dude had footage of a GZA interview from back in '90 - a year before this

  • damn!!!! GZA 91 freestyle just took out what most rap cats say on there whole album in 2011!!!

  • CLASSIC!!!

  • even in 91...GZA would have served any MC

  • genius and odb looks like twins damn

  • @Svoki12 GZA, RZA and ODB are cousins

  • @SirusSunnyV i know man

  • is that marge simpson?

  • Look at how they dress. No saggy jeans peoples. Listen how mello they are, not talking loud and bragging about their cars (Rick Ross, baby).

  • @Bloodsport1 um? that was the style then. A few years later they wore the same shit everyone else was wearing. They even had their own brand of baggy clothing, "Wu-Wear". and in 1962 James Brown wore shit they wouldn't wear in 1991. And so on.

  • @i000110001100 you obvious miss my whole point. I dont care if that was the style, the point was NO SAGGING Jeans. I remember Wu-Wear, I even remember Wu Nails and their barbershop.

  • @Bloodsport1 ...ok? so yes at this one point in history, 3 members of Wu Tang appear to not be wearing sagging pants. Even though a little later in their careers, when sagging pants became the style, they too wore pants off their asses. Yes, 1991, the good ol' days. Before things got crazy like today. Just a crack epidemic, Gulf War, real recession and peak violent crime rates nationwide.

  • @i000110001100 Baggy pants was in style not sagging, yes when some artist performed, while walking or jumping, they pants did sag but they pull them up, not like today, just let them sag. Things was wilder and crazier back in the 70's and 80's. Even the early 90's was worse than today (crimes rates).

  • @Bloodsport1 Exactly. That anecdotal evidence proves that the rise in sagging pants led to a major drop in crime and crack cocaine abuse in the US and specifically within African-American community. I applaud the youngsters of today for continuing to fight crime and drug abuse by sagging their pants.

  • @Bloodsport1 people cant have different personalities and different styles? Ricky ross is a big boss, and does what he does. they dont have to be conflicting. why dont you just stop judgin people and enjoy the music?

  • @BRADSZ99 why are you bringing up Rick Ross on a 1991 GZA video? Rick Ross is a lucky fuck who won, the we going to promote your songs and video no matter how much you suck award.

  • @Bloodsport1 , LMAO!

  • tearin up partys WAXIN MCS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • GgggggggggggZa

  • 'let me tell you about the genius, I have a style of my own, my hands are like vice grips holding a microphone' always loved the genius' flow..

  • EAST NEW YORK BK...RIP DIRT MCGIRT...ASAON UNIQUE

  • watch rza throughout the freestyle... its like he composed the whole thing, its ill

  • Who the cat in the hat?

  • Genius 91 freestyle buries these so called new MC's of today! These motherfuckas were destined for greatness since wayback! They ARE HIP HOP!! You either have it or you dont. GOD blessed you or he didn't. I'm sorry. Thats just the way it is! So fuck you Drake, Wiz Kahlifa, Wakka, Mac MIller, Wayne, and everyone else I purposley left out!

  • @yesimnative77 yes.

  • @yesimnative77 so are there any new rappers that you do like?

  • @Funkdogg Shit. Don't know. Gimmie some names of who you think is dope and I'll get back to ya!

  • @yesimnative77 i don't really know either. but i like fashawn, young dre, roscoe and kendrick lamar also. but they all west-coast. on the east i don't really know anybody, but i like that the sons of wu members are rapping too. gza and ghostface sons are the best in my opinion.

i kinda like wiz kahlifa because he has so many weedsongs, and i'm all about that. but it's a shame all the focus is on the young rappers from the south while they ain't saying anything intelligent

  • @yesimnative77 in this time everybody could rhyme crazy becuase it was the style and also the raw stuff was mainstream now hip-hop that is mainstream is more party related stuff. But it still spitters but some of those guys aren't great artists as dudes in the Wu were.

  • @yesimnative77 couldnt have put it any better myself...word the fuck up..its a sad sad time now for hip hop, or lack there of

  • notioce how 5:15 the RZA is tappin his feet on the rhythm before ODB even starts the countdown and then notice as method, rza, odb and the interviewer tap on beat to the flow .. true musicality

  • Damn! This was in 1991? I like to think at that moment they didn't know what the 90's was going to bring....

I mean tupac and biggie's fate is in few years, The Chronic doesn't come out for another year, Snoop hasn't been introduced yet, G-Funk, the Coast Feud, Bill Clinton....etc.

    Very interesting!!

  • @mangosareforbangos that year 2pac's 1st album came out.

  • raw talent!

  • PEACE

  • awsome awsome., thank you for sharing this rare vid.

didnt know odb can beatbox, and gza laid it down. sweet vid.

    thank you, wu tang forever.

  • Their seats are too low. Look at their knees up to their chest!.....and what is Rza sitting on, a waste basket?

  • @monteindamiddle7 thats all u can say? their seats r to low? for real?

  • @ren2020ky I can say plenty...That's all I chose to say, for real!

  • @monteindamiddle7 its public access get out of the suburbs and learn a thing or 2

  • @ren2020ky I have more knowledge than your head can dream of holding!

  • @monteindamiddle7 lmao whatever u say my friend. is that why ur first comment was about the height of their chairs? lmao

  • @ren2020ky Irrelevancy is far from being knowledge!

  • @monteindamiddle7 take that comment, turn it around, there u go

  • OMFG ODB BEATBOXING!!!

  • wanna be mc's shouldnt even be watchin this , but if u is take a fukin lesson bitches

  • she's fuckable

  • In eighteen years, I never realised how much Gza & ODB looked alike. I could see it in Bobby & Ason, I could see it in Rza & Gza, but damn, they look look like twins in this shit, paternal at least....wow.............

  • damn looks like such an asshole in this video, I like though

  • yo the 3style was sikk!

  • Man hard to believe just 2 years later they'd completely change the landscape of hip-hop forever not to mention drastically improve their own abilities.

  • Oh man. I never saw this. Fly as fuck.

    Great upload! Thanks!

  • The FUNKY ASON slide!

  • ay thats the girl from digable planets!!

  • The Genius killed it..... This is why i love youtube

  • GZA rockin' the Canadian Tuxedo. Props to J-Zone for a piece of Hip Hop history.

  • i bet they didnt think that just 5 years later theyd be legends

  • the chick interviewing the wu looks like she has a milk mustache! man that was distracting haha

  • Damn 20 years ago R.I.P. O.D.B.

  • @blessedishe maybe he did ! messed up that 90s coup!lol

  • odb beatboxing dope

  • yo this shit is crazy the wu came out and 1993 but they blew up in 94

  • Some say The Genius, has a style of his own

And his hands are like Vise-Grips holdin a microphone

Flowin smooth, with rhymes that are rough

    Because I can't get enough

  • So I practice not what I preach but what I teach In which the critics say is improper speech But it's proper, only to those who understand Why I walk on stage with a mic in my hand As brothers look on, label me as a psycho Just because I'll jump on stage and grab a micro-phone From a so-called said to be MC Who admires me with jealousy and envy My rhymes are delivered with style and potential Words are flowin smoothly in a sequential Order, revealin hidden tape records
  • Stuffed inside pockets and those I'll slaughter But I don't get upset, when you bite and steal I go home and write some ill Stacks of poetry, page after page Imagining the scen-ery onstage I catch flash-backs of the seminar As I crush the dreams of a wannabe star Self-explanatory words are shifted In a unbitten style cause I'm gifted and talented, with the lyrical ability Bound to fuck up a hip-hop facility Damaging MC's who dare to enter
  • The center, then challenge the inventor Of an impartial rhymin status Followed a relevant apparatus The way I come off on the mic is attractive I can make a quadriplegic hyperactive With lyrics of friction causing mics to spark My style couldn't be bitten by a shark MC's don't understand the way I be bombin em Roll up and ask me what's the phenomenon First of all homeboy when I'm battlin I'm like a doctor shootin deadly insulin Into MC's like that of a syringe And dare you to seek for revenge

  • TEARING UP PARTYS WAXING MC'S

  • Wow this is a rare gem

  • @newplanet15 So rare, that it's on Youtube!

  • Anxiously awaiting (and/or dreading) the inevitable auto-tune version of this video. In the meantime, peep our site sometime for future rapnerd jewels... egotripland(dot)com

  • @egotripnyc what? most people dont know what autotune is. it pisses me of that some fucker would even mention it on this shit. damn

  • entonces quien es el de la gorra, MAthematics o Ghostface¿?

  • whos the other dude?

  • DOPE!!!!

  • This is a good and funny video foreal.''Gza''.''Rza''.''Ol Dirty Bastard''.''Wu-Tang Clan''.

  • the funky Ason. The Ason dance.

    lol

Ol Dirty was really tame back then. He wasn't wylin, yet.

  • Could it be Ghostface? He was around in the early pre-Wu days and was also RZAs room mate for a while.

  • @cellularautomata it was gzas dj mathematics

  • You know they all had sex with that host after this.

  • Early Wu-Tang: Part of the inspiration for the graphic novel I wrote in 2008:

  • The interviewer took up Gza's offer presented in his first single. Come do me.

  • black timbs and cuban linx lol. that freestyle was mad

  • THE FOURTH DUDE IS ALLAH MATHEMATICS. He invented the Wu "W", DJ's for the Wu and does beats for them. "Mighty Healthy" , "Cobra Clutch", "Wu Banga 101" to name some. And I've never seen Dirty this normal and sober

  • @cyenceMillenium how can u be so sure that he's Mathematics?

  • @KillaBeesOnDaSwarm You dont see much but his jaw and mouth structure is really close to Math today(no homo), just slimmer. And I know he first hooked up with the Wu through GZA back in the Cold Chillin days. So I'm 95% sure it's him

  • @cyenceMillenium What Wu "W" the logo?

  • @Cuetlachtlixochitl yeah the famous logo, he did that

  • @cyenceMillenium almost but not quite...

  • ny hip hop <3

  • gza killed that shit gods

  • @tvisentin I AGREE

  • HE'S CAPADONNA

  • HE'S CAPADONNA

  • isnt the other one method man (in blue jacket) ?

at 3:56 he says some in the background and i think he sounds like mef...

he didnt look up the entire interview...

  • 90's bitches type.... AH. I like.
