Basically, the CC-01 is mean to be a scale crawler whereas the DF-01 is meat to be just a simple off-roader (although it doesn't handle of-road that well). The wheelbase of the DF-01 is longer also. There are a tonne of physical differences, search both of them on google and you'll see.
Not really. The servo/ESC are relatively sealed so you shouldnt really have to worry about it. I'm using a XL5 esc from a traxxas slash which is waterproof so it wont get ruined. The only thing that might play up (and it probably will) is the motor. If you get a brushles motor, you wont have to worry, as they are generally completely sealed. Otherwise, be prepared to replace the motor, or parts of the motor, every once in a while
I wouldnt recommend it. Its pretty crappy as an off road car. The suspension is too stiff. Its ok for flat dirt but it has little ground clearnace so it cant go over rocks or thick grass. I don't think it could handle any great increase in power either.I've converted mine to on road. The slash is a supurb off road truck.
what's the differance between the CC-01 and the DF-01?
