@julessoetersbest I don't think you can in gt5 but cars will be able to be gear ratio tuned by buying the fully custom transmiton (for 20,000 credits),

in real life the car ran 240 mph making it the worlds fastest production car ( for its time in 1995). in this game you have to fully tune it to go that fast

@MUSTDOS when i posted the comment, ssx wasnt around yet.plus, inthis game the mclaren's top speed has been limited and tuning it is the only wayto get to 240 mph. another example of a car withlimited top speed is the F40. in real life it could hit 220 mph. the top speeds have been limited to prevent the cars from being a bugatti veyron that can handle. i should try to see how fast the mclaren and f40 go stock and fully tuned

This car do more than 241mph in standard configuration - 627hp and 1138kg of weight. With this specification it could top a 260+ mph and under 3s to 0-60. The LM version with 668hp, shorter gearbox and about 1000kg could do 225mph and 2.8 to 0-60.

@MercedesBenzW124500E y does my stock mclaren f1 go 0-60 in 3.5 sometimes 7 or 8 and only go to 221 for a top speed when the real mclaren can go 0-60 in 3.2 and go 241 help if you know cus its 1000000 dollars and its bull that it doesnt even go as fast as the real mclaren f1 goes

@bonjovirules30 No, first: the 3.2s is a completed 10% of drivers of this machine. 90% can go drom 3.3-3.6 seconds in fact good drvers. Top speed is 231mph with rev limiter. 241 or 243 mph is a run without limiter.

have you tried tuning the transmission top speed? You should also try adding a rear wing and using SS route 7 instead of la sarthe
