in siegfrieds bio, he has come across soul edge and has killed his father and committed sins, thous giving birth to nightmare who was(is) soul edge, that explains y nightmare and siegfried have "unforgivable pasts." (i believe i am correct)

Yes, it is. In the first Soul Calibur (called "Soul Blade,") Sigfried was cursed after getting his hands on Soul Edge, which transformed him into nightmare. So he and Sigfried are the same person.

This was the best incarnation of Siegfried. Nightmare is NOTHING without Siegfried. It was interesting to have Siegfried's mixed with a more demonic fighting style, but after the seperation turning them into two different characters, they completely imporved Siegfried further. Nightmare just feels like he has a short move list and not enough mix ups like Sieg.

@ShadowCrowX I think for Sc5 they should Have nightmare and Siegfried become one character again(they both don`t feel as good as the Sc2 nightmare separated) and have a New antagonist fight him.

This is my favorite version of both Night and Siegfried. Their playstyle all mixed together played a lot smoother than in 3. SCIII had slower and less fun gameplay, I like the speed and controls a lot better in II, especially on a GC controller.

In Sc2 Nightmare has 2 Outfits As Siefried. But to Be Honest But Nightmare as Siefried is Got to be one of Nightmare Better Outfits and i Don't Like His Outfits in 3 but in SC4 e's MOre Than A Badass

There are two different Nightmares in that game, the third is added in the next. In the story line, when the sword takes over Siegfried he takes the form of the azure knight, the first costume. It is as Seigfried rebels and begins to take back him mind that he looks more like himself.
