True libertarians don't believe in corporations. A corporation, by definition, is a business created under the laws of a state as a separate legal entity that has privileges and liabilities that are distinct from those of its members. Libertarians, favoring a stateless society, would never grant such privileges or anything close to a "personhood" status to a business.
@dslkflkdsfskldfj Libertarians don't want a stateless society. That's called anarchy. Libertarians want a government that does fewer things than the current governments in America. Big difference.
We need more gay Libertarians. We're the only political party on record as being completely for marriage between all consenting adults of whatever sex and all sexual preferences. I don't know a single actual Libertarian Party member who's a homophobe and willing to admit it in front of other Libertarians.
If you're gay & reading this, please come to your next local Libertarian Party meet-up.
@dslkflkdsfskldfj you do know that corporation is the ultimate form of individualism and a corporation is nothing more then a grocery store times a thousand....so please quite the ridiculous envy ...because that is for democrats ...libertarians like corporations more then republicans you idiot ...corporations have no power over you stupid little life you envious communist twat
@TheJasonDR Get that Randian bullshit out of here. I'm a libertarian; not an objectivist or a communist. There's a difference between a corporation and a business. I suggest you learn it. Specifically it comes down to illegitimate powers granted by government.
@dslkflkdsfskldfj definition of a corporation - A company or group of people authorized to act as a single entity (legally a person) and recognized as such in law.
@dslkflkdsfskldfj their power is their own ...and russia is currently trying to privatize many industries and lessen the the govt control of the private sector ...basically what I am saying is america has no problems with the private sector but it is only in the govt that we see problems
@Mak08Mak actually the cleanest parks are private ....or owned by corporations ...you know that park that the Occupy people ruined was owned by a corporation

@jsprain1 Depends on the libertarian. You can be an anarchist or a minarchist and still call yourself a libertarian.

I think Anarchists just call themselves liberatarians because it's the closest thing to anarchy that has a reasonable chance of happening.

@dslkflkdsfskldfj
That may be the definition, but most people just mean a huge company when they say corporation.
And you would have to sell the parks to somebody to get rid of them.

@TheJasonDR Correct. In a free market no company would ever be granted legal personhood. Nor would they be granted limited liability.
