please dont buy hp. my friend has an hp netbook and its barely making it a year. and his hp desktop is also got problems. please avoid hp at all costs unless you want to spend your money fixing your pc. i reccomend an asus apple lenovo or toshiba.

Well guess it is woking just fine about your issue most ppl like i did were using the laptop by covering the went inflow haha like i repat i did it to my gateway m1625 it`s broke down by spilling the beer in to it :D now i have the nv7923 and the HP MINI 2133 / silver compound inserted to my heat sink for in case protection / and works fine . What i`m saying is depending on use

How does xp pro make the one he has better? If I got that one I would never pick between xp or vista, I would slap Ubuntu on it and make it AMAZING! Plus it would probably be even faster running Linux.

I bought this netbook. really nice but wasnt the fasest in videos, lagged out in windows media player so i couldnt watch movies etc, or lagged in full screen youtube videos.

The wireless was bad, read it was a common problem. Freezed up etc, even after updating the bios etc.

But yeah looks nice, has good speakers, nice keyboard and touch pad and nice buttons for the touch pad, Crystal clear screen.

But yeah I exchanged it for a Acer Aspire one and Glad I did, runs much better than this one.

I wouldn't recommend anyone buy a 2133. I loved mine -- which I bought after looking at video reviews like this. It was great, for about six months, Then it just stopped working. A web search of HP forums reveals I am not the only person with this problem, and a bad motherboard is the most likely culprit. Now I am getting crap after sales support from HP. I'd recommend you keep away from this model, new or second-hand.

there is no dvd drive, but i rip dvds on my desktop and put them on this... it has windows media player included so you can play xvid/ divx movies. you can store a lot of them too with the large 160gb hard drive. i also recommend an external hard drive, i have a 500gb one that works well well with it. i can transfer movies from my desktop to this using my external hard drive.

That mininote really sucks. It does everything wrong. :/ Too slow, too heavy, too expensive. Vista on a mininote is silly.. especially when you put an even slower CPU in it that the Atom.

Correction this version is the top of the line model but its $640...you can get the same amount power specs on the Acer for $400..

This is a very slow system with a very slow out dated processor. battery life is only 1.5 hours. It can't even play regular DVD movie resolution. No wonder amazon lower the price down to $400 the same time the New Acer One 160 gig, 6 cell battery with the Atom Processor came out....get the Acer...this HP is out dated.

Very nice I like how you can choose with the Vista or XP OS's. The battery kinda ugly, but makes a great stand for typing which can be really helpful, and the over 5 hours of life is awesome! I think this computer can compete with the Mac mini, and Mac book. If you have the money I say buy, and nice video TigerDirect. Talk to you all later.

I'm curious how the via ulv's stack up against pentiums. I have a centrino about that size that's like 5 years old and cost me like $150, and it's a tablet pc too...so if this thing's ghz is equal, I'd kind of wonder what the point was. I think the fact that it has one gig of ram decides for you which operating system you will use. My sister just bought an HP notebook with 1 gig of ram and it refuses to even open some of the pre installed software.
