I remember John's live shows around this time well, the Sax player on the 1990 Apprentice tour was Dave Lewis, Is this guy here the late Gerry Underwood ?
@joolz1967 Yep. Gerry Underwood - IMO the best sax player John had. I saw him in the Subterranean in London on the Cooltide-period tour - the interplay between Gerry's sax and John's guitar on the solos in "Angeline" was just inspired. To this day my dad and I talk about it - it was one of the greatest musical moments we've ever experienced. Was a great live period IMO.
