  • Lovely !! :D

  • Could rant on and on about mormonism... but I'm not here for that! Just apreciate good music when you hear it people! :)

  • so sweet voice of the leading boy of 'in dreams'. congrats...

  • Who is the singer? Ryan Tani ?

  • BEAUTIFUL

  • Beautiful job. Thanks Kurt Bestor and the Choir.

  • hello 240p

  • Why doesn't have this video like a million views, especially worth it. I mean you have videos from people who talk bullshit all the time. If you compare that with this video. it's unbelievable. It's just a piece of heaven!

  • I won't mock. But I will point out that the mormon church gave millions to prevent gay marriage happening in CA. That wasn't very nice of them. And if their anti-gay rights behavior opens them up to criticism, that's the price they pay for their bigotry.

  • @Kevin90028 Actually, the church itself did not donate any money. That money was donated by members of the church living in California.

  • Love this !!!! AmAzing! :D the boys voice is a bit anoying and his breathing is all over the place, but hey hes a kid dont expect him to be perfect :D i love it :)

  • In dreams was sweet but the second song sucked donkey tessers.. ruined it completely wtf

  • 3:50 through 4:40 is so perfect!

  • Ez a kisfiú egy csoda nagyon szépen énekel.

  • pois e'

  • beautiful :)

  • This is an exquisite LIVE version. I have heard many groups do this song. My compliments to Kurt Bestor. This is great! I used to listen to "Music & the Spoken Word" every Sunday, until Craig Jessop left. He made the choir into such a marvelous instrument vocally. His sense of line and tone were wonderful! I heard the later performance of "In Dreams" when the boy soprano was slightly older. While technically better ( and he did not sway) the loss of the "choir" signing was rather profound.

  • @BassoReichert I totally agree... Mack Wilberg is one of my favorite arrangers of all time, but Craig Jessop as a choir director is immensely superior. You can really tell the difference now; it is still amazing, but it's a subtle difference that I came to notice over time after Jessop's resignation.

  • Beauty in it's purest form. " Suffer the little children to come unto me . . . .

  • This music is like a Titanic, right? (I speak of the flute or pipo)

  • That little kid got quiet the voice! O.O

  • @kristian1115 God has a thing for music, so we Mormons tend to put allot of our efforts into the arts. Its also central to our faith

  • @Philip02K Yadayada i don't believe in god, the kid was just born with a great vocal chord

  • Before you trash talk us, talk to our missionaries, LISTEN to them, before you go talking trash about us.

  • @LOTR802 Hey I want to hear you sing HALF as good as that kid! Go on, post a response video! That kid has a gift. You clearly must be deaf.

  • Hmmm....I just arranged and composed a couple of songs here. They have nothing to do with religion or dogma. Hopefully, they will please those who listen, but I don't expect all to like them. That's life. It would be nice to have folks adopt the old adage "If you can't say something nice...." Seriously, what good does it do to mock, disparage, and ridicule. It certainly is the opposite of what was intended in these two songs.

  • @kbestor I am heathen. Beautiful songs, sung beautifully. Nice video.

  • @kbestor

not sure why people are having a theological debate here. Im an atheist and I thought this was lovely.

  • @kbestor They're both beautiful. Prayer of the Children happens to be one of my favorite songs of all time. Thank you for this music.

  • Why are we arguing about who believes what? Let's just forget about everything else for a moment and enjoy the music. I'm sure music can be shared amongst on another whether your Christian, Mormon, Jewish, Hindu, Muslim and whatever else (don't mean to leave anyone out). Sometimes it is not about what you believe.

  • @PhreshxxxBear i know, you wanna know what really grinds my gears?

people who go somewhere for the express purpose of making fun of people

so yes i agree with you :D

  • Voices of angels....need I say more

  • why do so many anti-mormon trollers exist? there is so much that is unreasonable. why does every one shout CULT whenever anything to do with the Mormons shows up anywhere? do people go looking for this stuff just to sound like a hater? and all you people who's favorite word is cult, maybe you should look up the definition some time. and realise that every religion EVER (including atheism) is a cult. every. last. one.

  • "Fly You Fools!"

"But Gandalf We Don't Know How To Fly."

    "Then Run. Gosh... AHHHH"

    "GANDALF!!!!"

  • absolutely beautiful! thank you so much for sharing. prayer of the children makes me cry every time.

  • the kid have a very nice voice

  • all fans of Lord of the Rings ..... where can I register

  • Im sencing alot of LDS Tolkin fans vary happy!

  • the case is not closed

  • Justin biber can kiss this kids ass, that's how you're suppose to sing if you haven't hit puberty yet. Amazing voice

  • It's sad that we can't just sit here and listen to the pretty, inspired music without a huge argument going on in the comments. :(

  • So grateful to my Father in Heaven for ears to hear beautiful music like this. Grateful for eyes to see the graceful sign language version sung by this beautiful childrens choir. May we all be more thankful for the things we take for granted each day and may we treat each other more gently as Christ did.

  • This is a beautiful song, I love the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. I've been lucky enough to see them in person and they are outstanding.

  • Thank you Kurt for a beautiful song and arrangement. I have good memories of this song.

  • Awesome. I loved the movie series, so I appreciate this. It is sad to see that good posts like this seem to also expose the self-righteous and cynical side of humanity.

  • The little boy is cute and all, but as a music major, I think a more mature voice would have been a much wiser selection.

  • Wheres Shrek?

  • @troybrad how could it be a different jesus. Unless there's multiple sons of god called Jesus Christ who did many miracles and died on a cross. Instead of being so narrow minde, Look on both sides of your argument and go get a real Mormon or go to the church and ask questions instead of believing some websight, cause everyone knows the Internet tells no lies.

  • Mormons are Christian. The church is called "the church of JESUS CHRIST of latter day saints" the same Jesus that gave his life for us, the son of god. And Satan/lucifer was an angel fallen from the graces of god. Instead of learning about a religion from a web sight or a ex-Mormon, how about you get it from an actual source like the people that are members or from a Lds church.

  • Beautiful. Mormons are not Christians. Don't get them mixed up.

  • @troybrad : LDS Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Savior and Redeemer of the world, and endeavor to follow His teachings and example. Peace.

  • @rippinsteo Thanks for sharing what LDS Mormons believe but the fact is they are still not Christians. The Jesus you believe in is not the one from the Bible. The Mormon Jesus is the brother of Lucifer, and according to LDS teaching, he married several of the Marys of the New Testament. He is not, to the LDS church, "God incarnate" as the Bible plainly states. Clearly, the Mormon god and Jesus are not the true.

    seafox.com/mormons.html

  • @troybrad It's extremely sad that you don't know what you are talking about. "According to LDS teaching, he married several of the Marys of the New Testament." I've been a member of the LDS faith for years and never once have I heard that. The leaders must be hiding those fact from those of us in the church and just sharing it with those who are not.

  • @altorock13 What is sad is that you are a member of the Church of Later Day Saints and don't know your own doctrine. I encourage you to do more research.

  • @troybrad So, if mormons are not Christians, why their church's real name is The Church of JESUS CHRIST ?

I realized also that Book of Mormon has the underline "Another Testament of JESUS CHRIST".

I disagree your online behavior. Seems like racism.

  • @JonasViotto25 They (the Mormons) call themselves that so that people (like yourself) are falsely led to believe that they are Christians too. I encourage you to do a bit more unbiased research to find out the truth. The Mormon Church has very good PR/Marketing to make others believe that they are mainstream Christians.

This is far from racism, it's helping others to see the truth. Racism would be blasting them for their beliefs, I have not done that at all.

  • @troybrad I entered in a mormon chapel several times. There is one near to my house. According with what I saw, if they are not christians, hard is to find another religion who can be intitulated as.

Therefore, I can call your comment as racism, because you use lies trying to mistreat these ones. It will not bring you legal problems, but your intent is clear. Try to attend at least one of their meetings before post another comment about.

  • @JonasViotto25 You said you entered a Mormon Chapel. That's the same as me saying that I entered a Mexican Restaurant and now understand everything about their culture!

The Mormon Jesus is the brother of Lucifer (the Devil). Christians do not believe that Jesus is the brother of the Devil.

Please do more research before you accuse others of being racist. I do not hate Mormons, I just do not believe in their beliefs.

  • @troybrad Well, saying that Mormons are not Christians is to recognize that it's you who needs more research. One thing is your point of view, which I respect, no matter how much I disagree. Other is the true, which do not accept interpretations, like 2+2=4. Like this last one, there are just two possibilities: Mormons are Christians or are not. To these two statements, one is TRUE, and the other is LIE. There is no oppinion applicable. And the TRUTH is that Mormons ARE Christans.

  • @JonasViotto25 , your comment makes no sense at all. Did you know that it was a human being who CREATED Mormonism?

I know the truth...Mormons are not Christians. Mormons claim to be Christians in order to make their cult/religion seem more mainstream. Did you know that they only allowed white people into their religion for hundreds of years? It wasn't only until recently that they allowed non-whites into their cult/religion.

    Please don't write me anymore.

  • @troybrad Nevermore but this one: in the Holy Bible, the book of Acts teach us that before Cornelius, Gospel was preached only to jews. A revelation received by St. Peter taught him from that moment, gospel could be preached to gentiles also....

I do not know about black and whites in mormon religion, but if you said is true, isn't different that happened w/ gentiles and St. Peter, and never made the earlier apostles lost the title of Christians because of it.

  • @troybrad Mormons can be whatever they want to be, that's what religion is. You can believe whatever you think is true and should not be persecuted for it. And secondly, many common religions are started by people who are said to have received revelations from God. That's exactly how Mormonism started, and it shouldn't receive persecution just because it started a little more recently than all of the other religions. Try looking up all of the other religions, they weren't started by angels.

  • @LIttleColonialDolly It is true, Mormons can be whatever they want. My statement is that they are not Christians, they call themselves Christians but they are not. They (Mormons) call themselves Christians to make themselves more "acceptable" in mainstream America and the world. It's all part of their marketing ploy. They are not Christians. They are a cult. Why have so many former Mormons left the Church of Latter Day Saints? Because they have found the truth. Case closed.

  • @troybrad does it really matter?, why doesn't anyone watch south park :P Just listen to the song.

  • @troybrad, Well dude, I'm a Mormon and I believe in Christ whole heartedly. Isn't a believer in Christ known as a Christian? I don't know where you get your information from.

  • @troybrad Case closed? how is that logical or reasonable? there is no proof in any part of your statement. its just you trolling your opinion as fact. we could say the same thing about Baptist who convert to The Jehovah's Witnesses. Or Catholics to Islam.

  • @cgstockwell I dont know of any Baptist who coverted to be a JW. BUT I do

    know JW's that became Baptists.

  • @troybrad they are called by their full name

the church of "Jesus Christ" of latter day saints

note that they put the name jesus christ as their leader of the church,

    they follow jesus christ

    that makes them christians

  • @kinkajuu1 The Mormon church added "Jesus Christ" to their name to make them "more acceptable" to the mainstream. Mormons are good at deceiving/brainwashing others...that is why there are so many of them in the world now.

CHRISTIANS believe in the Trinity (three in one). Mormons believe in different gods. CHRISTIANS believe that God created all things including Lucifer and angels, Mormons say that Lucifer is God's spirit brother.

  • Christians believe that Christ's blood is sufficient to cover all sins. Mormons believe that there are certain sins which Jesus' blood cannot cover - including murder.

kinkajuu1 - you are the one that needs to do more doctrinal studies.

  • @troybrad so youre saying that a murderer who lives a horrible life of killing others will go to heaven like a guy who lives a good life?

you are the one that needs to learn common sense

  • @troybrad. You obviously need to learn more about The LDS church aka the Mormon church. We believe in the god head or God the father, his son Jesus Christ and in the holy ghost. We also believe that God created all things including Lucifer and angels. and We believe that Lucifer is Gods son, along with everyone in the world, and no we don't brainwash anyone. They choose to join this church. Please get your facts right before you say what others believe

  • Kinkajuu1, I think your a little confused. We have always The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints and we will never change our name. We do not brain wash anyone, We teach them what we believe and then let them decide what they believe. We believe in the God head or God the Eternal Father, and in his son Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost. We believe that Jesus Christ Created the world under God's instruction. We believe that god created Lucifer and angels as his Children.

  • go on youtube and do a search on "Mormon Cult" and you will find many valid videos on this topic.

    Peace and truth to you.

  • @troybrad Just because "so many" convert out of the LDS faith do does not mean in anyway that its because the all found truth. most leave the church because they leave to atheism any way. and besides that you could only say they all leave because they found truth if they all left TO THE SAME RELIGION. and obviously they dont. you cant say that they found "the truth" just because they think something is a lie.

  • @cgstockwell your comment doesnt make any sense. Can you restate it please?

  • @troybrad besides how are they a cult?

last i looked they are a worldwide organisation and have over 11-12 million members, does that make them a cult? sry but you seem to be biased against mormons, check it out yourself without any predisposition before making an opinion

  • @kinkajuu1 I have done thorough research. I have several friends who were in the Mormon cult but thankfully got out. I pray that you get out too.

  • @troybrad prove me that its a cult

and why did you check out a mormon video just to trash it? and to trashtalk everyone else and make fun of their beliefs?

  • @JonasViotto25 All Mormons are Christians but not all Christians are Mormons.

  • @DragonflyOnBreak Nice quote! It's simple!

  • Awesome medley! Great post, thank you!

  • it is said that only kids can get on such high notes... vocal chords are still soft but when growing up they will loose this skill

amazing kid... powerful and spot on

love the flute at the beginning... is it a flute or something shorter ?

  • @diegoroma The flute looks something like a penny whistle. Either way it's a beautiful instrument.

  • the only thing i really don't like is the video is about 3 second behind the audio, could you Please please please upload a corrected version?!?

  • Imagine how nervous that kid had to of been. I want that tone in his voice so much. This is amazing.

  • You know, maybe there are still good things left in this world. :)

  • crap, why does this song always make me cry? oh..... well... other than the fact that it's the most beautiful song in the world.

  • Fifteen people are jealous they can't hit a high E like this kid.

  • @mintymaid or play the flute like the guy in the intro XD

  • The boy's breathing was really distracting.

  • Beautiful progression ladies to their top note 4:37, end of the Dreams song! So beautiful.

  • goosebumps!!!

but what the fuck is the choir doing with their hands :D

  • @foyariss The choir in question is a deaf children's group that was allowed to sign.

  • @Yochananable Dear Most High Lord, Omnipotent above all - so very nice to meet you. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Hoping that you'll be my Facebook friend. My friends will never believe that The Lord of Hosts is actually an FB friend!

  • @Yochananable Dear lord, you're not real so worshipping you would be a waste of time and 10% of my money every week wouldnt it?

  • @kbestor and the pope wasn't with 'em?!

  • @foyariss This was done beautifuly. Loved it.. Can anyone tell me where I can get this music from for a guitar ensemble please.

  • @foyariss it's called SEE-sign, a variation of american sign language.

  • @foyariss they are doing magic :D

  • i wish i had a personal DJ that would follow me around all day playing this song, it would make my life feel so much more epic

  • 14 people must not dreaming at all!

  • The boy singing has poor breath control.

  • @robotentity This may be, but listen to his voice!

  • Kurt!! Amazing! Thank you!

Otherjoe..... Put your head phones on and listen with your heart, not your eyes. Music is spiritual. Period.

  • Comment removed

  • @otherjoe1234 The choir doing sign language is comprised of deaf children who can't sing. This is the only way they can communicate. Kudos to the MoTab Choir for giving them a chance and clean the cynical haze off your glasses. Yes, it's not pro, but they're doing the best they can.

  • @kbestor Thank you for working with our church..

  • @kbestor Kurt, the lord of hosts will do battle for us/.. Stand back, be still and see his mighty hand.

  • @otherjoe1234 Dude they are kids and doing the best they can which I might add is great job too.

  • ☻☻☻ This song touches the heart!

  • why are those people waving their arms behind him?

  • @Eureka3d ....it is called sign language. This way even the deaf can be touched by the lyrics. Kudos to Kurt....this is an awesome arrangement!

  • @Eureka3d either they are waving to their parents,or they are really stoned!

  • stuning

  • gorgeous.

  • THANK you for sharing this. I sang an arrangement of "Prayer..." in high school, still adore the song and have also loved "Rigoletto" since I was small. Thank you for your work, thoroughly enjoyed/was moved by this video.

  • when was this broadcasted

  • this is a really nice arrangement

  • This choir is amazing, and this arrangement stunning. WOW. What a beautiful video--so stirring and compelling. THANKS for making it available here.

  • Very beautiful. Makes me tear up some.

  • Kid looks stoned off his face!

  • Beautiful arrangement and what a lovely voice the young man has! I love the sign language addition also. The whole song is just peaceful and awe-inspiring in this world of chaos we live in right now. Thank you for posting this. ♥

  • Kurt, you did a beautiful job. And this child has a gift from heavenly father. I hope his voice does not change. i FORGOT, ARE YOU A MEMBER or just work with our choir?

  • @kbestor

I was wondering what orchestra that was playing. I'm not a singer but I play the violin. Well, I'm 15 years old right now living in Niagara Falls Canada. (Mormon) I was just wondering how you get into that orchestra.

  • @ThorWillKill1

That is the Orchestra at Temple Square. Go to the Mormon Tabernacle Choirs website and you will find all the information about how to audition. Though you are a bit young, there is an age requirement. Hope this helps and best of luck.

  • Too bad there's a little lag between the audio and the visual. Either way, this is amazing and shows how anyone can overcome a personal problem. Excellent!

  • That's ma little man, reppin' the hood, and tearin' it up.

  • Good shit.

  • Hey some of these deaf kids are from Great Falls Montana I know most of them.

  • ooo cant belive how beatifull this ........ where did you got this from???

    this is beyond beatifull..

  • All of the music in the Lord of The Rings is just perfect!

  • this is freakin' amazing!

  • Wonderful arrangement and original song. Great performance by MTC under Craig Jessop. Met him at a workshop last year, wonderful musician and person. Also I watched this original broadcast on Music and the Spoken Word. I like live performances compared to studio versions even with " mistakes" More of that energy from the live performance. Great stuff Kurt.

  • this song is so beautiful even if the sound and video aren't synced. The soloist did an excellent job on this piece. I remember listening to this, when they had a fireside. Never heard it so well done, except in the movie.

  • This is very beautiful! I love the Mormon Tabernacle Choir! This little boys' voice is most beautiful! Thanks for sharing <3

  • i love the background choir melodies. this is awesome.

  • Awww shucks. With the slash in the title and the word "arrangement" I was hoping for a combination of the two songs. Beautiful, but not what I was expecting. Grrr, now I can't get the idea of the two melodies blending out of my head. Curse you, art that hasn't been created yet! D: Stupendous job, though! :D

  • wow that was a great arrangement, i am bummed, cuz i am moving to la and will no longer be able to attend your annual christmas concert in utah...keep making life beautiful with ur music :) thanks

  • This is a great video. The little boy has a wonderful voice. I can only imagine how hard it would be to solo that song in front of so many people! And as always, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sounds amazing. I hope that the music in Heaven is similar, and that i get to go there :D

  • that boy does a BEAUTIFUL job. and i love how people are turning this video into a religious debate. get over yourself assholes, religious arguments are the dumbest things on the planet because NO ONE is right. no one has proof and therefore no one can back up their arguments. so shut up and let people enjoy this beautiful music REGARDLESS of who is producing it!!

  • This is so beautiful! :O

I absolutely love the music from LotR. And Prayer of the Children is so moving. I was introduced to it by David Archuleta. :) You did some amazing arrangements on his Christmas album too. haha.

  • google Doe's Account. mindblowing.

  • oh my gosh. that kid is amazing!!!!!!!!

  • This is absolutely beautiful.

  • @2besavedcom ...and what does this have to do with my musical arrangement and the choir's performance?

  • thats in the morman tab place...SWEET

  • Listen to the video where they sing whistle while you work and heigh ho from snow white... it's wonderful!!!!

  • Nice! My high school chorus did Prayer of the Children in...I wanna say 2002. We did a lot of amazing songs throughout my time there, but this is one of the most beautiful ever. Awesome.

  • Amazing...simply incredible.

  • What I like about it is how the "Expressions of Silence" group are part of this piece... it is wonderful and quite beautiful.

  • This is the same church god established through his son Jesus Christ when he walked the earth. A church that allows service animals despite the fact the government exempts churches from the ADA.

  • I love these songs! You guys are amazing. Wish i could have witnessed it with my own eyes.

  • This is just awesome, simply awesome. Where can I buy this track, why wasn't I there!!!

  • SIMPLY FANTASTIC...

  • I've found this to we one of the most inspirational songs I've ever heard.

  • hermosoo!... heavensong

  • I remember this performance! I happened to be there that day for the recording. Very moving. The live performance was a deep and profound spiritual experience. Wonderful!

  • I like the version of prayer of the children with female sopranos a lot better.

  • Mamma mia...bellissimo

  • very beautiful

  • Buenísimo. Exelente.

    IMPRESIONANTE

    * * * * * 5 START

  • The Morman Tabernacle Choir is Amazing... the always produce great work.

  • wow this is nice very calm little man on the vocals got it covered

  • it's a shame the original one was deleted

  • The words are- "When the cold of Winter comes, Starless night will cover day, In the veiling of the sun, We will walk in bitter rain. But in Dreams,I can hear your name,(And in dreams) And in Dreams we will meet again. When the seas and mountains fall, And we come to end of days, In the dark I hear you call Calling me there, I will go there And back again.
