  • Why do you block half volleys ?

  • hold your shot after you bat for a longer time and possibly bend your front knee a bit more and stay lower to the ground- that'll make your balance better. Apart from that, keep it up; you're looking good out there!

  • Thats not 75 thats around 65 mate ! good technique but fuck off for lying !

  • why dont u get shoaib akhtar to bowl he is better than the fuckin machine

  • good eye for the ball and a lot of these shots would have gone for runs but one thing i would say is try to stay alot more balanced because it will make it easier for you and also hit the half volleys!

  • you are good... all you need to do is get your weight forward and try keep your head as still as possible...

  • mini chanderpaul

  • Yea this is Definitely Central Cricket Academy Birmingham,,,, 100%

    .

  • Don't block half vollreys

  • I don't know what level this guy is playing at but the one thing I would pick up is your sideway stance, at the end of the day its up too you but it can increase the risk of getting a nick to the slips of keeper if your playing a shot on a sideways angle.

  • 75mph is nothing, put it up to 90mph and watch him suffer!!

  • Some technique and good eye. But your balance is POOR, you are on the move after every shot. You'll struggle if the ball is moving about. Work on balance and stability

  • is that waverly the school?

  • I just come across this video because i was looking for a video of myself batting! Mate your shots look quite tasty! And in answer to "Jeckel100" How is he supposed to play shots on the leg side, if the ball is pitched outside the offstump? That would be called playing across the line..The one thing you dont do!

  • theyre all on his offside no leg side so he cant be that good

  • half volleys outside off stump. 75mph. just the right pace. you know where its coming so your feet move towards it as soon as its released. piece of cake for any decent club cricketer

  • thats pointless as the player knows where the ball is going to pitch every time!

  • nice technique. true what has been said about the bases part. sometimes also your head can just fall over to the left a bit, this could cause you problems especially when playing in-swingers.

  • Got enough bottom hand

  • u have a very open stance!!!

  • You look like a good player but you play every shot like it's a yorker. Move forward a few paces before the ball is released ;-))

  • looks alright but stop walking forward after you shot and keep your balance

  • Don't walk around after you have hit the shot. It can take away your base which you derive power from thus taking power away from your aggressive strokes. Although, for defensive stokes this is not as important.

    Otherwise pretty solid.

  • You need to improve tbh because it looks like ur playin this too late and at 75mph not the best

  • Fire that coach, well if he is a coach. There are so many things I can say but he fails on safety alone. If you need a complete analysis please send us a message,

  • How does he fail on safety? CBCA is a lottery funded project. All health and safety requirements were met.

  • I received your comments. I would like to inform you that I am also level 3 ECB certified. So, l let us get down to facts and he will be honest to tell you this as well. Look more like a dancer trying to play cricket than a cricketer.

I went back at the vedio from ball one through 8. Before you reply with some hash comments take a moment and make notes. Thanks 27

  • The player in this video is not a regular at CBCA and has not received any coaching that is available at CBCA. He goes occasionally for his own private practice sessions. He is from Waverley CC. So if his batting performances are poor, then contact his Cricket club and tell them. Maybe they will want to listen to you for your expertise, or maybe not.

  • No need to. I am sure they will sort him out

  • He is a Coach and a very good one at that. Level three from Warwickshire CCC. Why would we need your complete analysis when you dont even appear to know what you are talking about?

  • I dont think you are balanced enough when you defend. See how you take a couple of steps after you block it? And you right leg moves forward after you block it? That's a sign of over balancing.

  • Thanks for all your advices people.. !

  • I see a lot of Chanderpaul in your style and technique. Hopefully you'll make a ton of runs like him. Good luck.

  • your technique looks pretty good, the main thing i think you need to work on is your balance. You play every shot on the walk. Try to stay still after playing a shot in the nets, it will help you balance and help you keep your head still.

  • @lindz1817 true i do the same thing, and my coach says i have to work on my balance or get my back foot across alot more so you dont walk through the shot

  • u bat like the aussie simon katich

  • @vaughan1102 ...Yupp exactly..

  • good on you kids who are 13 and face 80 miles an hour.. no one really cares... we just want to help this guy out with his batting

  • he shows to much of his wicket good batsman but as a bowler myself ile get him out

n nice batting pal..need more solid defence...

  • i am 13 and i had it on 80 this easy

  • no one cares...

  • i had tht speed plus and i only 13

  • really good batting, the only prob i saw was that for some o the cover drives, ur foot was down mid stump instead of coming out right to the pitch on or about off, but really solid stuff

  • 60-65mph

  • you prick that easy 75!
