@spacecowboy7580 WOW you are amazing, you spent all that time scrutininzing EVERY lyric. May I suggest you get a LIFE instead as you're obviously VERY bored. Find something useful to do instead of nit-picking over minutiae(better look that up in your dictionary). Oh and if the lyrics don't please you don't read them, you don't even have to watch the video, no-one is forcing you. Find an occupation instead, there's always charities wanting help as you have nothing else to do

listen: you can hear him gather himself in this performance - he was working to equal his talent in this song. his heart is truly in this song. i have always got chills hearing this, he is trying so hard to find his true self in that goddamn cold kentucky rain. a wonderful performance by Elvis. Elvis Presley was a great artist, muzzled by mediocre handlers.
