Notice from this interview how elated Bill Moyers is to discuss all the dreadful economic news, with Rockwell. Yet all the solutions discussed to end the recession are the same ones that will return our 2012 economy to health and are readily rejected by neo marxists like Moyers. I think Rockwell is not a classical liberal ,but a fake conservative, a free market cameleon if you will. When talking about Bastiat, he talks about moral issues with the ball thrown through the window.
How much economic stimulus has been the result of five trillion dollars in new debt. Little, despite the continuing lies from the Obama media lackeys spouting BS daily, now as the election is nearer. With this nation now in long term debt, that is over 100% of it's gross national product, has been set on a course that will leave us vulnerable to our serious enemies and will be impossible to reverse. My friends, regardless of who the next pres. is, recovery from this will take forever.
I wonder what this pompous ass, Bill Moyers, has to say about today's debt and deficit's now that we have had nearly three years of Keynesian runaway spending. Citing a "record 304 billion dollar deficit" for 2002. His singularly bias slant on nearly everything political, belies the premise this show. That without Mr. Moyers view on what is happening "now" we are left ignorant. This thinking has, to quote, the current occupier," run the country's economy into the ditch". Ala GW Bush...
It seems this interview was in 2002??? This is perfect to help to put in perspective that the 90's booming economy was a bubble and once it burst, the govt (thru the fed) inflated another one to postpone dealing with the problems and once the bubble burst again in 2007/8, the govt/fed have been trying to reinflate the bubble to no avail, they've merely kept the economy afloat, but this means that the big collapse is getting closer, good luck to everyone, and this transcends political ideology
@BabelOn4infinity What are you even saying? He works for Muslims while being a Jew and supporting freedom, including the freedom to draw Mohammad? People are amazing sometimes.
@labrusca10 That's a reference to the Hao Han Language Center in Beijing, the Mandarin language school that this person operates. It's not a political statement, it's just a plug.
From your profile, I noticed that you're new to Youtube. However, your profile struck me as rather sophisticated for a newbie. Could you please explain?
I may have just answered my own question when I noticed how many other channels you have. However, why do you feel the need to have so many? It strikes me as rather opaque.
Its really sad b/c I really like watching Bill Moyers. He's one of the best things about PBS... ANyone ever see or read the power of MYTH. Its just that he actually belives that government is the solution to our problems. When he does shows about literature, music , poetry Im right there but his politics R so brutally biased they are like left wing hit jobs.
Krugman also thinks the gov should have nationalized the banks. He also thought the stimulous wasnt big enough. The nobel committe some terrible mistakes. Krugman and Stiglitz at columbia are bozos. Mother Theresa was an extremist. She said at her acceptance speech that abortion was the biggest threat facing the world.
Yeah people kept telling me "well Krugman won the Nobel prize and he was a liberal", so I checked out a video of the guy talking. Holy crap. I guess after Friedman it could only go downhill.
This guy is pretty rational. What Libertarians in general don't understand is that the government IS the people. If it ain't working, look in the mirror. We get the government we deserve. Obviously, we are not very deserving.
Libertarians like Lew Rockwell absolutley understands the people are ultimately responsible for being smart enough to recognoze they're being rammed up the ass by govt. Hence why is is with the Mises Institute...spreading the word.
btw idiot, that's what's on your youtube profile...so if that's not your age learn how to use a damn computer. As far as me being the "one" who pretends "blah blah blah"...keep in mind that going by the last few elections 32% of the population voted for a Dem or Republican...meaning the sitting president garnered 16% of the population vote...hardly a majority you moron. There are alot more "others" than sheep like you chanting their party line.
You're a fuckin idiot, I wish I could grab you by the throat and shake the stupid out of you. You didn't even answer any of the questions...because you can't. Go fuck yourself retard.
On a last note, calling me a "liberal" doesn't make it true. Certainly I'll tell you I'm no conservative based on what conservative is meant to stand for today-but I hate socialism/liberalism too. Its idiots like yourself that paint the picture black or white, or conservative versus liberal. Pea brains allow themselves to be manipulated by the power brokers in office to believe the "party line". Both side are repulsive-as are you.
Very eloquent response. Try spell checker next time, that might help. There is no such utility for actual REASONING however, so until AI develops to the point to help your meager brain you're screwed. In the mean time, why don't you explain to us how you made 17 grand through the FF disaster? Did you walk away from a home loan? Also, how have you been listening for 30 years when you're 24? What did you think of the Lehman, Merrill, AIG failures today? Did you see that coming?
Like Lew? RON PAUL's the real deal, unwavering 30 years. Support win or lose MATTERS. Huckabee/Romney want to turn US into a theocracy. Clinton's yesterday's news. Bush's destroying US liberties, loss of habeas corpus, legalized torture.
RP's into separation of church and state, right to free speech, right to bear arms, getting back to Republican roots- a balanced budget, less govt. SPENDING MONEY RIGHT. 60 years overseas, let's come home and take care of US FIRST.
The reason he sounds like Ron Paul is because they go to the same school of economics. When Mr. Rockwell is introduced its mentioned that he's been a congressional aide. I think you'll find that he was Ron Paul's aide. He was Ron Paul's congressional chief of staff. LewRockwell dot com is one of the strongest pro-Paul websites, and has been since its beginning. If Paul wins this guy will probably have a cabinet position.
A few years ago. I remember him saying he was going to be on, and then the next day I watched it on a website. I wrote him a letter after watching it, telling him that I thought he had done very well, and he wrote back thanking me. My current e-mail doesn't go back that far though, or I could tell you exactly. It could be between 6 and 10 years ago. Maybe someone else can answer better.
I have this on tape = at the time I actually taped it because he was on after Chris Hedges talking about his new book, "War is a Force That Gives Us Meaning". I believe it was aired in October of 2002.

It's amazing that $300 billion sounds so piddly now. That was a mere 3 years ago. It's scary to think what the deficit may be in 2014.

Oh wait...your 24 years old...you probably don't own anything or have saved anything.
Did you know anyone who ever lived through the great depression? Do you know why the 20's were called "roaring"?
Do you plan for disasters? Do you have life insurance?
You're a young man...lacking experience comparatively to most of the population. Stop and think a moment about what that may mean.
