Off the top of my head, my favorite "Pedro" song is "Fix".

My favorite Bazan song overall is the piano version of "I never wanted you."

Again, I'm pushing for Achilles Heel. That album truly found David at the height of his songwriting powers. The material is like years beyond whatever could have been accomplished on "It's Hard..."

From "Bad Diary Days" to "The Poison"? Now that's a feat.

Not knocking "It's Hard..." at all, it's one of my all-time favorites. But I think Achilles Heel represented David & co. at their best.

I suppose that's a difference of opinion. It's hard for me to say because my favorite songs by David are Bad Diary Days, Options, Be Thou My Vision, Transcontinental and The Poison. I love everything this man does and you can definitely see not only his style of playing, but his voice change through out the years. He is just an incredible musician and you can't really say one album is better than another. They're just different. =]

I agree. The sound of pedro the lion in the late 1990's hasn't been seen since. There was so much good music going on back then. It was a great time to be going to shows especially in seattle. one of the best was the murder city devils on new years eve 1998-1999. still have the poster from that show on my wall.
