  • Hell yesss! Did this in theatre the other day!

  • I saw this at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta in 1994.,not this cast, but an amazing musical.I come from the U K and my surname is Rogers.

  • I LOVE THIS!!

  • Royal City Musical Theatre productions of Will Rogers Follies has the exactly same dance too, it's really awesome!!!

  • WOW!!! Original Cast ... Amazing

  • we're doing this for competition this year:P dancing :P not all the same tho... just the hand jive

  • My teacher was in this show(: she's the second girl on the right. She taught us this whole thing for our final, its not as easy as it looks D;

  • Ahhh we did this musical my freshman year of highschool and it was my favorite one that we did! I love this number my favorite!(:

  • Tracy Thompson - this one's for you! Watch it a few times to really catch everything. This is a great example of direction/choreography/design blending perfectly but none taking unnecessary focus away from the other and serving the number!

  • I love this show! I love Tommy Tune's choreography! This was the last musical I did!

  • CHORUS: "The elephant trunk and democrat donkey will be down the drain and sunk, The day the peoples victory is won. With spirit and spunk he's gunna debunk the jabber and junk that they've been feeding us,

    Hooray for our favourite son!"

  • HOORAY!

  • Does anyone have this whole broadcast?? How cool - I'd love to see Cady Huffman in the opening number.

  • haha i have to dance to this furr mii recital this year :) its so fun to dance too

  • Anyone know where I can find the lyrics?

I need to memorize them for our dance.

  • this is awsomeeeeeeeeeee....

    one of my favorite piece

  • we're doing this exact dance in my class =)

  • Are you doing it in a single line?

  • I played lead trumpet in the pit for this musical once. This was a really fun song to play and the crowd really loved it. This whole show was fun. I would play it again for sure.

  • God I love chorus girls!

  • It's a great number and dance, that! :)

The first time I saw it (and to me the best time) was when it was done by Funny Girls, Blackpool's drag troupe :)

  • im doing in my dance compition and WERE GOING TO NEW YORK WITH IT BABY!!!!

  • I saw this show in '92 when it ran on Broadway with all the original cast members you see in the video and in fact I even have a poster of the show autographed by each and every cast member including Keith Carradine, Dee Hoty and Cady Huffman, it's one of my prized possesions :)

  • Busy Bee Band did this in our Follies show!

  • we're doing this show too :)

    Except our dance differs :P

I play one of the sisters.

  • im the lead in my broadway dance class, not to mention the only boy.

  • we're doing this dance too!

  • we do this exact whole dance for a show I am in. Its awesome.

  • Hey we're doing it too!

  • Hahahaha! Awesome! I have this on tape from the Tony Awards someplace, but the tape is nearly worn out because I played it so much. I actually learned this routine, believe it or not.

  • then whatever quality is left put it on a pc. buy like a dazzle then connect your vcr and start ripping.

  • Wow! What a great video! Wherever did you get it?

  • I don't know. Some dude gave it to me.

  • Obviously, it is not someone holding a consumer camera in the audience, this was professionally produced, I wonder who for if not the public? Looks like it ended up in Japan, thanks for posting this, I loved this show!

  • Mittdawnson, this was probably performed in Japan as part of a showcase of Broadway shows at the time, as marketing to lure tourists to NYC.

  • Thank you for uploading this!

I watched this show on Japanese TV.

    Thank you!

  • I miss doing this night after night! It always put me in the best mood. Unless I lost a boob puff. Then I just felt silly.

  • hey lauren! if you did W.R.F. with Larry Gatlin - I would have seen you in it! I was making good money at the time & when my mom came to visit me in NY - I bought two seats right up front in front of the spot (my favorite) where Cady Huffmann pops up in Willamania! My mother loved this number on the Tony's & I looked over at her at one point (i think during Diamonds for M.R.) and the look on her face was like the actress who plays Babs' mother in Funny Girl. Joy and awe. Thanks!

  • @PuffLippy06 hi there! I just saw your message! I was with Larry Gatlin, but it was on tour, so you probably didn't see my show. I'm so glad that you and your mom liked it, though!!!

  • Mike - how'd you get this?

  • Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

  • have you ever done this song

  • Thank you for posting this! This is wonderful to see! Do you know if this was ever put on DVD?

  • Unfortunately, no. It has never been released on DVD.

  • is it the norm for Broadway shows not to distribute DVD's...I was in the balcony box stage left, and would love a video momento, but not finding anything, which goes for all the shows I've seen...what's up with that?

  • Yes, it's the norm. Very few shows ever get released on video. It's too expensive.

  • that's too bad...I also heard from a producer friend in LA who says it's a residuals issue as well.
