This seems so courageous to me, and yet - maybe it's not. Maybe it was easier for her to share her grief in this way that it would have been with words. Either way, it was an amazing response to such a sudden and cruel loss. A lesson in dignity for us all.

Oh my gosh - I just realized the music is Mahler Symphony #5. Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir won the Olympics skating to this music together and it was such a romantic performance. To watch Katia perform it solo and at the same time think of Tessa and Scott makes Katia's tribute even more moving.

@kmbmiddlechild I thought of taht too when I saw V/M's free dance. Their coach and choreographer is Marina Zueva. She said to Katia she can only see a single skater skate this music, but I guess she made an exception. RIP, Sergei :( They were a one of a kind couple, no one will ever match G&G
