Is it me or are those Alpha games the same as the ps2 version? If it is then Capcom dissed us cause they could have given us Arcade perfect version of those games.
Thanks for such a thorough explanation of these franchise. I used to own Street Fighter 2 and Street Fighter 2 Turbo for the SNES, but when they started coming out with SF EX, Alpha, and what not, I got lost on the story line.
As you pointed out, Capcom was re-releasing the same game over and over, and my parents wouldn't buy a game (in their eyes) I already owned.
Very well-written and edited review, I was quite surprised at the level of quality a few random clicks of youtube yielded me! I'll have to check out your other reviews, and must say that you have sold me very thoroughly on this title.
This is more of an overview than a review, really, you didn't say what's bad about it, and you didn't say what's good about it either, except for the part you reccomend us to buy it.
....i cant believe i bought a stupid naruto game instead of this. Damn it, i love street fighter its awesome. I wish i never liked naruto, i could've had this game. But at least i got metal slug anthology instead of a naruto game so im happy :)
@David315842 well one thing to do then...to the gamestop bargain bin, that has multiple shitty games that none buys yet people buy them for their kids in a last attemp to get a cheap game, and games with no instruction book (breathing) and with horrible replacement covers with retarted people, and it looks like ur buying a game for a stupid retarted kid
sorry i just had to say that, but thanks for trying to help me : )
I do indeed. But it's the UK version, though it's identical to the US release, unlike the Street Fighter Anniversary Collection. The US version had Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike included, we only got the treet Fighter 2 animated movie.
In Europe we didn't even recieve any of the Megaman compliations either? I don't know what Capcom were thinking at all when they did that. But then it's like asking Sony, why have you left out PS2 backward compatibility with the PS3? It's a weird world in the world of gaming!
I wonder how mexico got treated, maybe we got treated bad too. Oh and even if you got megaman collections, you would need to hack the ps2, oh well thank god for emulators
I didn't grow up on the Megaman franchise, but I know that Europe wanted that anniversery collection and they didn't get it. So somebody at Capcom must have been screwing around. In Mexico, it should be very easy to import from the US, as it's next door. :D
@David315842 Mexico gets the same games as US and Canada, no separate releases: the game that is sold at Canada is the exact same one that is sold in Mexico. In fact, is the same release for all the American continent, the sole exception being Brazil, where the systems are PAL instead of NTSC/UC. It has always been this way.
One thing I should mention actually is that the American version of Anniversery Collection IS avaliable in Europe, but not on the PS", but on the Xbox instead.
How would you block when theres an opponent on each side of you?

QUESTION: Hyper Street Fighter Alpha doesn't have Arcade then? It's either playing with a friend or in training?
xNeroTheSablex 7 months ago
@xNeroTheSablex Yeah, Hyper Alpha is really just for playing around with your friends with all the characters thrown together.

Great review - it shows good knowledge of the Street Fighter series.
Bonus points for not using Sodom's censored name.

It's still avaliable on the PS2. Just go to Amazon.
David315842 2 years ago
@David315842 yea but i cant buy it, no money, and my parents dont cant online shop
oxe161 2 years ago
Well if it's still on general release. Some game stores should stock it, even if it's used. As for money, well that's your concern.

@David315842 well that sucks, why do they do this. Imean Uk deserves the same content as americans do

@David315842 yea but america and mexico dont get a long that well anymore
oxe161 2 years ago
I believe Mexico uses NTSC TV's, and unless Sony have incorporated a seperate code for American/Canadian games, a US import shoul;d play on your PS2.
