it seems so strange,,people visit the big nickel from all over the world,,,and i was raised a few hundred yards from where it is now, just down the hill from it. i used to play right where it is now but there was no big nickel back then. i dont live there now,,moved from sudbury many years ago
my uncle used to work there before he died he loved his job, our family has people underground and me an my cousin high above, always thought i would join the family in the mine instead i did the opposite haha

Well yeah it is still enjoyable and interesting, but before they used to have more mining stuff to show. It was more about the history and mining then all the commercial stuff that it is now.

The original Big Nickel was better than Dynamic Earth. It's way to commercial now.

They certainly did, boys are alwyas into rocks etc.
My Dad was a coal miner in England (so was his Dad and grand -dad etc.)
So it was even better for them to see a mine of any sort.
