My last (well, technically current...Hasn't been replaced quite yet) computer was one of these. it was very reliable, but it wasn't too good for much beyond the internet and Microsoft word documents. Too bad i accidentally clobbered the XP installation whilst trying to partition the HD. Oh well, that 512mb of RAM and the 200GB HD was getting too small for me anyway. i'm upgrading to a laptop with a 350gb HD, 4gb of RAM and a 750gb ext. HD. maybe i'll install linux on the s7600n.

the blue slots are probably the dual channel ones so youd wanna put a 512 in each one, and im sure if you mixed sizes that would probably work ok too, but ive never done it like that for dual channel.

well certain motherboards are designed in such a way that if you have 512 MB of RAM consisting of 2 256 modules, then the motherboard is able to divide the work evenly between the two modules making them more efficient than motherboards without this feature. Often these boards will have 4 channels for RAM but two of them will be a different color, to signify which slots to put your two RAMs in for dual channel.

some people don't like to have giant desktops and don't want a laptop. So they would like a small and short desktop that could fit any where. Dorm rooms for example. It's tiny and nice. HP Pavilion Slimline s3500t is better and pretty powerfull too. Good for games, 3d max, and other stuff. HP Pavilion Slimline s3500t has quad core and up to 512mb GF9500 and is Small! I don't like big desktops and I'd like small one. It looks neat.

Nice PC built with XP Media Center Edition! I have XP MCE too! Well I do recommend upgrading the memory of this PC when you plan on upgrading to Vista, 512MB RAM is not enough for Vista, I've experienced it too! lol! But anyways, I recommend 2GB RAM when it comes to upgrading to Vista because Vista's a hungry OS! And maybe try upgrading the graphics card as well.

What they don't tell the consumer, is that you actually need a 64-Bit operating system to actually take advantage of the CPU. In addition, you need to use 64-Bit applications. Otherwise, there's no difference in performance between a 32-Bit CPU and a 64-Bit one. Same thing goes for dual or quad core CPU's. If the applications are not written for them, then no performance improvement whatsoever.
