I found out how to get Defenders (including diesel models that get x2 the fuel economy) available in America!!! Step 1: Register to vote. Step 2: Vote for Ron Paul who would then deregulate the market, thereby getting rid of regulation requirements on airbags. Step 3: Once he deregulated the markets, go on down to your local Land Rover dealership and say, "I'd like to buy a Defender please."

it enrages me that these stopping being shipped to america in 1997. put the damn airbag in the car with a killswitch for the airbag and make everyone happy! there is no reason a 1997 defender 90 with 70,000miles should be selling for 40 grand in america.

Do not be fooled by the video. This is a Land Rover Defender, neither a showroom car nor 1 that needs shower, wearing some school girl lip gloss for attention seeking. This is the king of 4x4 / Off-Road vehicle that can take you some of the worlds most hardest & toughest terrain one can ever imagine, which Singapore's road has none of such criteria to offer. Nevertheless, there are still some special breed of minority who needs 1 to carve & slice out a fresh path in life for their own journey.
