It's such a neat piece! I play cello, and our part is simple once we can get the high notes.

  • rise agians the proleteite

  • Cello rules, and im also pretty sure that this song is not about communist russia or else my school wouldnt have let it's orchestra play it, and at the fast part our teacher made us cellos do eigth notes instead of sixteen although we were fine the violins were the ones screwing up

  • @MegaGravemind indeed violins screw up quite often when i was in high school also

  • @Puleknow Oh im sorry. Your one of the slow dudes right? What i mean is when you listin to classical music not watch it, guess I should have put more detail into my comment.

  • we're doing this song for marching band. I love it!

  • Search yablochko (apple) for the dance itself. I couldn't find the dance along with the orchestra version of the music, but with any luck it's out there.

  • @lwm3398 Yes. But only the true masters of classical music can analyse all instruments at ONCE!

  • @Cinderovo so can the back of any human head.

  • Russia's tanks---> 5 $ molotav cocktails. Effective: 9001 %

Germany during WWII --> 1,000,000 $ king tiger Effective 89%

    US---> 1,000,000 $ Abrahams. Effective: 90%

    Russia wins.

  • @puleknow

The dollar sign goes before the amount, not after.

  • @puleknow

    Russia's tanks: $5 Molotov Cocktails. Effectiveness: 9001%

German Tanks: King Tiger - $173,658 (roughly, guesstimate). Effectiveness: 89%

United States: M1 Abrams [not Abrahams] - $6,210,000 (about a decade ago). Effectiveness: 90%

  • so much fun to play i love this song hahaXD

  • IN RUSSIA MUSIC PLAYS YOU!

  • @superxgman so true. My sister played this twice in orchestra at school, once arranged, and once the full version. I'm playing it right now in my orchestra, and even in arranged form, it's still a 5/5 piece, so it's hard.

  • SALUTE TO MOZHAR RUSHEIA.

  • Our brass section REALLY enjoyed playing this piece :3

  • I listen to this song way to much....

  • @dopwolfe It is highly addicting!

  • string bass on this song was so fun...

  • I came.

  • Супер-супер-супер....!!!!

  • I'm going to be playing this song in a concert on the 24. I play the Tuba, and boy playing this song is fun

  • i have a concert in two days and this is one of the songs we are playing. I'm in 7th grade and play the trumpet in a high school concert, marching, and pep band. we sound really good but not as good as this. wish me luck on the concert! oh and I'm playing taps on memorial day with my section leader, band is really fun but it takes a lot of practice sometimes

  • @nanumi14 How was your performance?

  • 3 people couldn't keep up with the tempo in their orchestra.

  • ay comrade!

  • Played this 3 years ago in 8th grade and this still honestly is my favorite orchestra piece of all time.

  • OMG our teacher gave us this song last week to learn yeah this will take awhile and we are in 8th grade this will be a nightmare.

  • @ryanstrumerboy My Math teacher is a Russian,he cryed when he heard Korobeiniki XD!!!

  • Good lord! Could ya speed it up a little?

  • why cant there be a sax in the orcastra. im probly half as good as these guys on my sax. I LOVE this song!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @cjacobify We have saxes in our high school orchestra!! O: Our conductor recycles parts like bassoon and english horn for the saxes, since we don't have any of those odd instruments. And they sound really awesome, too!! :D

  • we play this song in band but it never turns out this good xD

  • I LOVE THIS SONG but i was unfortuanately in intermidiate when my orchestra playes it :p

  • So powerful! So mighty~!!

  • oh my goodness we played this in my orchestra and it was so fun! its so weird to hear it and it not be just violins violas cellos and basses XD

  • Am I the only person who listens to classical music 18 times over to concentrate on each part each time? "Okay, percussion has been listened to... Now for the cello part... Alright, now the horns..." and so on and so forth.

  • @lwm3398 xD I do that constantly with everything xD It turns into a serious,unbreakable habit xD;;

  • @lwm3398

I just focus on each of the individual parts the first time I listen to them.

    What... can't everyone do that...?

  • @SonicHedgehog123 I do that too, I'm musical enough to, but it's also fun to go into the individual parts each time you listen. Then, at the end, listen to how they compliment eachother and all that.

  • @lwm3398 I don't do that. I like to listen to music as a whole instead of each individual instrument. For me, it's sort of like a book. Instead of listening to a song and just reading one chapter, I read the book as a whole. When it's just one piece, it doesn't sound nearly as good. I play music and I prefer when I'm practicing with the band or orchestra I'm in as opposed to when I'm alone so I can hear everything come together instead of just my part.

  • @flowertower872 if you dont practice by yourself its bad cause then you cant learn to play solos and you cant get much progress

  • @birdflightisawsome Oh don't worry! I still practice on my own of course but I prefer pieces much more when the entire orchestra is playing.

  • @lwm3398 Probably not... but I'm not one of those people. :P

  • @lwm3398 I do the same.

  • @lwm3398 i do the same my friend

  • @lwm3398 NOPE lol. phew, I thought I was the only one who did that!

  • @lwm3398 no you are not the only one

  • @lwm3398 Yes! I love classical.... except the fact I'm not a strong enough player to really differentiate the parts. I love classical!!

  • @lwm3398 OMG IM NOT ALONE <3 XD

  • @lwm3398

I would...if I had the score. I suck at being able to tell apart instruments (mainly in the brass and woodwinds section).

  • We played this at Blue Lake year 2010. Best piece ever, by far!

  • MY GOD THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST ORCHESTRA SONGS MY TEACHER EVER PICKED I LOVE THE VIOLA PART

  • In Soviet Russia, music plays you!

  • So much energy in this piece! I love it! Forward Red October! :D

  • I am olaying this as a full orch piece im so nervous

  • umm... whats the picture of lol

  • @xxabyssalminionxx A secret soviet super-weapon that will crush the capitalist pigs once and for all, bringing the long awaited resurection of the USSR...duh :P

  • This song was so fun to play on my triangle! My teacher didn't really like me...

  • We actually played it in band. Not Orchestra. I like the Strings better. I gatta say =P But the Clarinet part was epic ;D Awesome song :)

  • В Советской России играет музыка вас.

  • i had to play this song on violin the hard part was in 5th position

  • So fun to play on trombone

  • @rguy1509 yeah, fun to play when you have no rests and all the musical entrances while covering for Muted Bassoon & 2nd Horn, while being First Trombone, yeah... FUCK PLAYING THIS SONG... ill sure as hell listen to it though :3

  • In Soviet Russia, this analogy is F****** TRUE!!!

  • Everyone here is in an Orchestra. I played this solo on my Bari a long time ago. Still love the piece by the way, just doesn't sound the same.

    Go Bari Sax? :D

  • @SexyKittensx lol had the same solo on the same instrument :) such a fun song

  • This piece is insanely fast

  • We're Russian Dancing Men

Ah, yes, we're Russian Dancing Men

I'm dancing with the Purple Hen

I've also got this Ballpoint Pen

  • In Soviet Russia, you don't sit on chairs, chairs sit on you.

  • @mrawesome308 wow realy funny look at all the thumbs up

  • did u guys know there is "advanced" version of this song? it sounds epic

  • god..... playing this now lol no way in hell are we going to play this fast... god lol

  • Communism isnt all that bad of an idea. Marx didnt intend it to be used the way it was, especially the way Stalin used it. Anyhow.. this piece is beast.

  • Propaganda: the masses eat it all up.

HURR DURR USSRFOR THE WIN COMMUNISM & SOCIALISM FTW! DURR.

    SHEEPLE.

But I gotta say this is a badass piece.

  • @pppoooppp Wasn't that:

"HOORAY GO THE MARINES FUCK THE IRAQI PEOPLE GO UNCLE SAM! CAPITALISM, CRYSIS, MISERY AND POVERTY FTW" ???

This is not propaganda, YOU are propaganda.

  • @TheBlindPowerslave I look at those people with disdain as well. Don't think I'm some retarded Conservative christian fatass with a jihad against Obama. I just think Socialism and Communism are for retards. There's a reason people like you were called useful idiots.

  • man, this makes our region orchestra look like beginners!! I play french horn, and the arrangement was hard enough!! wow!

  • @frenchhornrocks17 i play viola, but we are not that different. bophe of our instruments are harder to play usually, theres never a lot of us, yet we are very important. and i played this too, but only an abridged version cuz meh skool orchestra sucks

  • Strings of fire!

  • music for the soul... reminds me of the glorious days of our navy :-)

how I long for these days...

  • My band teacher wants me to play this on french horn for a concert in the neat future, :) I love it, it's so bold and it seems like a piece played in the Russian Revolution during WWI.

  • @xXJawruWolfXx we were going to play it for orhestra ^^ in the band, there's only one french horn, one of my friends. the music teacher is the most HONEST teacher ever. he called him a french horny.. >< lol i <3 my teacher

  • @o0PrincessKristy0o x333I love band teachers who do that, and tell your friend from me good luck! :D

  • @xXJawruWolfXx Thanks! meheheh C: My music teacher also spells everything wrong.. EX: Rondeau (Mouret) = Rondo; Canon (Pachelbel) = Cannon; Stradivarius = ??? When his niece is visiting, (she's an English teacher) "I ain't gonna pick it up" :D Okay one more story! We were learning minors and majors. Perfect 4 is wedding march. He plays on the piano and sings "There goes the groom, off to his doom" :D

  • @o0PrincessKristy0o XDXDXDXDXD Omg Best.Band.Teacher.EVER. XDXDXD

  • USSR failed MAJORLY, true communism has no government, just the people taking what they need with no classes. Also communism doesn't work in a developed nation, too many resources to exploit. SOCIALISM is the way to go!! But at least they tried.. LONG LIVE THE PROLETARIAT!!

  • @Ansom666 socialism sucks for the same reasons communism sucks

  • Long live the USSR!

  • Russia/CCCP had small navy because they have only a few seas and oceans...this piece should be Russian Air Force!!! Power! Гагарин! Леонов!

  • @strela It was the largest navy at one point then the second largest. Heck Soviet navy alone had 200 submarines.

  • @strela

    Are you crazy?!?!??

Russia yes, because that stupid Yeltsin scraped all navy as "old rusty metal" for sale...Scrapped many, many ships, and many of them were left to rust...

USSR had strongest/largest,and few years before collapse second strongest/largest navy...

  • wat time is this played in?

  • @sk8tergurl246 when I played this version of Russian Sailor's Dance, if I remember right, it was in 2/4.

  • Too bad our school band is cocky, our orchestra is amazing

  • why all the racist coments?

  • holy.... we're playing this in a strings orchestra... i have to say, we need the brass. awesome job!!!

  • one word. omg

  • I LOVE this song!!!

  • Very pretty, but I think I prefer the more traditional version with the balalaikas and accordions.

  • Comment removed

  • I played this last year.we didn't sound nearly as good . The russians have a tendency to make there pieces very heavy.

  • I'm Italian... Were pretty tough

  • @SiciliaStreetfighter lol loser

  • @kuberwagon asshole

  • @sillychad18 not to sound crazy, but there are very likely possibilities as we do reincarnate. I was told I was from an eastern country, a slave... and was beaten and starved, a roman soldier came and saved me and we ran away to the mountains... We live really similar lives.. I was in an abusive relationship, and my prince saved me and we want to live in bc! :)

  • Long live mother russia, Some of the strongest people on the planet, so naturaly our music has to resemble or personalities. Strength of a bear and the cunning of a wolf god play the russian people.

  • In Soviet Russia, saliors dance YOU!

  • @videofreakmanic123 Ray William Johnson? haha :D

  • O_o i played this in 8th grade haha, it was so fast and hard! but awsome music :)

  • EXCELLENT MUSIC!
