The first 1:45 are just perfect to me!

I feel myself very lucky as i still had the oportunity to grow togheter with these B59 and ride them on a daily basis.... but i also feel very sad because now that i work with buses, they are all gone forever :(

I presume these B59s had rear-mounted powertrains, correct? Because that is the configuration. Volvo buses in the 1970s had three configurations:

B57 - front mounted powertrain

B58 - mid-mounted powertrain (this was most common; evolved into B10M and B12M)

B59 - rear-mounted powertrain (although produced for only 10 years, from 1970-80, the B10R did evolve out of this model nonetheless)

The B57s also had the TD70 engines.

@ClassicTVMan1981X : Can't fool you ;) You forgot the B55 (RHD UK double decker), Front mounted powertrain. Then there was the B54 (short wheelbase chassis), also front mounted powertain. The B59 chassis was in production from 1971-1978, with the demochassis in 1970. Some chassis were bodied much later though.

I wonder why the original B59 had a short run compared to the B58/B10M and the B10R, the latter of which eventually succeeded the B59?
