To be a Sikh doesn't mean you need to be baptized. A true Sikh has to have a good heart and do good for people. To be a Sikh doesn't mean you need to be baptized. A true Sikh has to have a good heart and do good for people. If you take your ideologies of true Sikhs not being Sikhs just because many have cut their hair (to fit into the new society) then no one is a true Hindu, Muslim, Christian or any other religion. We have to all change with the times - we live in a racist world and we all have to survive. To be a true Sikh you have to be a good person - it doesn't matter what you look like.

Sikhs who fought for british in ww2 only fought for their agendas and no freedom. BUddhism have over 2000 years of history in India, neither is it mensioned that Indian golden age came under the mauryans. Indians talk about USA,Canada today when in fact Ashoka the great recived ambassadors from france, Greece,Persia, China, Africa used to be our great ally. Buddhism sat the foundation of humanity 1000 years before sikhism, Buddhism was the first religion on earth who preached Liberty, equality & Brotherhood 1000 years before you saints and soldiers. There are however some sects like Lama Buddhists who are like sufis who only live in clusters and away from civillization but in order to know Buddhism you must know Ortodox buddhism which was founded by the Noble one himself. Today a nation like China praises Buddhism and adress Buddhism as a key part for making China as the nr1 global power thru its political philosophy i dont think sikhs even managed half of it.

Also dear saint and soldier Buddhism was wiped out of India due to Internal Hindu uprising against Mauryans later Muslim invasions. Buddhists were confronted at 3 fronts by the Norhern muslims and afghans and Hindus in south. But still mauryan era in India is adressed as the golden era of the subcontinent which of course came from buddhism. China Buddhist Han dysnaty fought back islam without loosing a inch of land to muslims while sikhs lost 80% of punjab to islam.

Where were buddhists when Bhagat Singh sacrificed his life for the country, where were they when Udham singh killed Gen.O'Dwyer in england , Where were they when Sikh soldiers fought in WW 2 and after that british set India free. The thing is sacrifice which Sikhs did and are doing. U too should respect them. U cant be great over others jus coz ur preachers set universities for studies.
