why do they even call it a baywatch when there is nothing to watch at all? everyone was wearing a lifejacket and therefore there is no need for any lifeguard to be watching. and most importantly, you can't call it baywatch because there are no boobies and big butts.
Regarding the lifejackets that they're wearing, most mainlanders rarely visit the beach. they are too poor/busy or both. The country also lacks (for obvious reasons) swimming pools other than those found in expensive resorts so few people learn, or know how to swim - hence the popularity of lifejackets as beachwear there. And guess what? Very few people drown, unlike over-confident aussies who think they're superhuman and go out in deadly, high surf! Or deep, fast-flowing rivers.

Most Filipinos are really into soap operas and reality shows; particularly American shows. My guess is that the original poster was influenced by Baywatch and named her video after the show because it's also by the beach!!

I am an Australian guy who lives in the Philippines, and I can tell you here and now that the reason I love the "Pinas" (short for Philippines) so much is because everyone are so warm and friendly! The emphasis on family is unbelievable - no one is ever lonely there and if someone gets in trouble, everyone will pitch in to help him/her.
I've never touched or used a boomerang in my life! - at least, not since when I was a kid. We made boomerags for Boy scot projects but none of us could get them to fly... hahaha!!. Regarding my decision to live part of the time there is 1) see above and 2) the cost of living is about 1/4 what it is here!!

Natives: Called Filipinos, or among fellow Filipinos, Pinoy. It isn't spelled Philipino.

Regarding the lifejackets that they're wearing, most mainlanders rarely visit the beach. they are too poor/busy or both. The country also lacks (for obvious reasons) swimming pools other than those found in expensive resorts so few people learn, or know how to swim - hence the popularity of lifejackets as beachwear there. And guess what? Very few people drown, unlike over-confident aussies who think they're superhuman and go out in deadly, high surf! Or deep, fast-flowing rivers.

Most Filipinos are really into soap operas and reality shows; particularly American shows. My guess is that the original poster was influenced by Baywatch and named her video after the show because it's also by the beach!!

I am an Australian guy who lives in the Philippines, and I can tell you here and now that the reason I love the "Pinas" (short for Philippines) so much is because everyone are so warm and friendly! The emphasis on family is unbelievable - no one is ever lonely there and if someone gets in trouble, everyone will pitch in to help him/her.

Regarding my decision to live part of the time there is 1) see above and 2) the cost of living is about 1/4 what it is here!!
