I have had a g25 for 5 yrs now and i want to make the switch to fanatec. I was considering this wheel with a table clamp csr shifter and g25 pedal adapter or the csr wheel with clubsport pedals and csr shifter or a GT2 with clubsports and a Porsche shifter? Which would you choose coming off a G25. I am serious about racing and primarily a console racer but this summer i will build a gaming pc for racing sims and FPS so it would be nice to get a wheel now and have time to get used to it. Cheers
@AJAY606 Considering how much this one is superior to the Porsche wheels, it is hard to recommend anything else, after you try it. But pedals are very important too, so I do not know what to recommend. The new CSR wheel bundles look very interesting, but I can't tell you exactly how that wheel compares, because I don't have it.
CSR elite pedals- $149.99 (Elite pedals are so much better!!)
Don't use your G25 pedals, I only bought that adapter because I knew the pedals wouldn't show up with the wheel, But a buddy of mine ordered everything and got all items. Next shipment for CSR elite wheels is mid march! That's when I'm be expecting my wheel. I already have the CSR, with Elite pedals.
If someone is interessted in this info: its possible to change the elite wheelrim with the gt2 or gt3 wheelrim. it has the same fittings and the same cable connection inside. Even the display will work correctly. the only issue i had, was that some buttons were changed, for example the right paddleshifter. thats not a problem for pc games but does make problems in some ps3 or xbox games. With the gt3 rim the feeling was alot better but the overall ffb a bit weaker. I only wanted to say that a r
Hi, I'm going to buy this baby and I'd like to know which cable is used to connect it to my Clubsport pedals. The ps/2 or the usb cable? I saw in this video there is a different plugin to the wheel. Thanks for this video!
This wheel seems to be far above Thrustmasters T500. Sure the T500 costs 600$ but that includes pedals and clamp (although not as big as Fanatecs). CSR Elite costs alone 540$ and when you need pedals, CSR Elite pedals cost 150$ (or Clubsport pedals for 200$) plus the clamp for 50$. Lets say you buy the Clubsport pedals with this wheel when it will be 790$ Thats 190$ more expensive than T500. Even if this wheel didn´t had support for Xbox 360 it would still cost around 100$ more.
@lass8477 You think the Xbox 360 support alone costs 290$? That makes no sense. Did you notice the regular Porsche 911 wheel costs 180$ and the GT2 and CSR costs 250$ Thats only 80$ More. So 540-80 equals 460$ without Xbox 360 support.
@TheKwod Probably yes. But mostly they feel like they should. With regular pedals it was always a bit weird for me - thinking how far I must push the brake instead of how strongly I push it.
I heard this wheel was going to be $500 upon release. I see it's $539.95. When the GT3 came out Sim Racing tonight said you can get the wheel and clubsport pedals for $300. They ended up charging $329.95. Time for a price cut right?
I wish Fanatec would follow the idea of price your product to move so many people could have these wheels. They just come across as money whores. They probably charge too much because they can't keep up with the demand. I hear they have horrific customer service.
@wastnTIMEwastnTIME WTF.....first, this is a high end wheel, they are also offering a cheaper decent wheel as well, but this is a T500 competitor with quality FFB, excellent paddles and good button layout, granted I think it's a messy looking wheel, but that won't matter if it drives well.
@TheKwod Just about every electronic item that 1st comes out is over priced. Look at Xbox & PS3. They make money off the people who want to be 1st, then they drop down the price significantly and still make lots of money. But Fanatec doesn't do that. They overprice their wheel and keep it overpriced. Sure it's a "high end" wheel, that doesn't mean it's priced correctly. If Fanatec was smart they would drop prices after 2 years and sell more units. By not doing that tells me they are money whores
@wastnTIMEwastnTIME whatever it is, at least they exist, and hopefully logitechs next range of products are improved, although I think G27 is very good for the money.
@wastnTIMEwastnTIME another thing, don't underestimate a G27, they're excellent wheels as well, so buy that for $200 or whatever and live happily ever after.
@ForLifeAndBeyond Grip is different, but very good. GT2's full alcantara-covered rim is something special and will never be forgotten though.
As far as performance goes, response is A LOT better than with GT2. Smoother, lighter to move, faster, with stronger, sharper and more direct/immediate FFB effects with more granularity.
That was about 15 minutes longer than it needed to be...

Hi, thank you for your reply and yes ... finally I bought the CSR Elite! I like it very much.
In this video I saw that you use it also with FM4 and I would like to have your help for the best FM4 and CSR-E settings.
Actually with FM4 and the CSR-E I use the default settings:
FM4 (Wheel 24-95 Acc. 15-90 Brake 15-95 Clutch 10-100 Hand B. 10-100)
CSR-E (SEN - FFB - SHO - DRI - ABS - LIN - DEA - SPR - DPR)
Thank you!

@StarDav69 PS/2 cable, but you get a short adapter cable from PS/2 to RJ with the wheel, that plugs in the wheel.

@vicbel I was using the CSR Elite pedals.

that's the ugliest wheel rim I've ever seen, but that aside, I was curious, do you think load cell pedals make you quicker in sims?
