Ive gotta say, i saw a trailer ages ago and i thought it looked brilliant. I played the demo and ... ITS FRIGGIN AMAZING!!! i think i generally enjoyed the demo more that i enjoy Modern Warfare 2 which is getting very boring. PS3 and XBOX, (I have PS3), needed a futuristic game thats not afraid to go over the top and they finnally did it. i reccomend this game to anyone that likes shooters and adventure games. and for £20 on the PSStore you cant go wrong.

Its a pretty good game actually. Check out the demo. That AI is actually really smart. Its nice gameplay, graphics are decent and it just looks like a really awesome game.

It's online play directed.....DO NOT get the game for it's campaign....if you want a good Online fps game, i think it's good pick. Since you can choose were to spawn, spawn camping is practically non-existance (unless you're unlucky)

The concept of an "ODST" as you call them is as ancient as sci-fi itself. Mecha armor + jump jets = drop from very high altitudes and crush enemies. Space Marines from warhammer 40k use this concept and 40k has been around since the 80s. Halo ODSTs are overglorified paratroopers with elite training.. sci-fi Rangers. This isn't an original concept.

That being said the game is not like Halo , the inevitable similarities are shared by all FPSs so are of no concern. You don't need to take out the shield if you are close enough it doesn't activate. In multi there are many viarable missions and objectives that are made available during the skirmish and you can design you weapon and abilities .
