  • neeeeed dragon age 3!

  • why does everyone hate dragon age 2? it wasnt a bad game.... and honestly think about it if they combined the books origins and dragon age 2 to make dragon age 3 it would be amazing so quit your whining i mean common they really didnt have a lot of time to get it out and it was still awesome.

  • @IBeLightning i think that DAO was 50 times better. The real problem with DA2 was there wasnt very many places to explore and the caves and shit was the same as the last and the last before, and the story was just awful but i hope DA3 is really good

  • @jakascott21

yes i agree it was better but i personally liked the story and i absolutely loved the dialog between hawke and others and between the companions... it was hilarious.

  • @IBeLightning i agree, especially having merril anders and varric (the three funniest characters in the game in my opinion), i loved the dialogue between Oghren and Alistair in DAO, where he was talking about greasing his sword but i think why it sucked was because of EA, they have ruined the Dragon age franchise as well as the mass effect franchise, for ME3 they said that they are in fact taking away from the storyline a mission and a companion who is a prothean

  • @jakascott21

agreed EA has gone to shit ... almost every game they help create or just create has sucked recently ... the reason that is is because they rush the games too much. If they took the time to create their games like Bethesda does, then they wouldnt suck. Just look at Skyrim for example. Yes it has glitches and bugs but so does like every game out their and yet Skyrim is like 1000x bigger than all of them You know another thing ive always loved about the dragon age games was the music

  • @IBeLightning i dont know if id say they were the funniest because isabela had her moments lol like one time fenris and anders were fighting about who Hawke liked more and all of a sudden out of the blue isabela said "Oh, will you two get over yourselves. I did her, too." lol

  • @IBeLightning EA is too damn impatient with games, everyone knows if the publishers would just let game designers take their time then they would be making a grand profit, but EA wants to make ME compare to Gears of war where as they want to compare kingdoms of Amalur to Skyrim (Skyrim wins obviously), hell theres even Morrowind and cyrodiil in skyrim probably for the massive DLC's bethesda is making

  • @jakascott21

yes i know this ... EA doesnt take their time they just want money and not customer happiness...

  • @IBeLightning i cant believe they actually took parts of the game out just to make a fucking DLC and charge 10$ for it, if bioware would just open their eyes and see that EA is pretty much destroying the mass effect franchise and turning it into comparisons to other games which i really hate, EA just made ME into gears of war space edition

  • @jakascott21

wow they did that ... thats well bullshit ... Bioware must be blind if they cant see that EA is the reason why they are loosing so many people

  • I love how the trailer is better than the game.

  • Is this a RPG game? and is it free roam?

  • @kameel2472 yes

  • Mediocre game but a cracking trailer.

  • Dragon Age 2 was to Origins what Conan the Destroyer was to Conan the Barbarian.

  • The important thing to understand about the plot: ultimately, you're *just* a mildly influential person, however well-known you may be. Unlike most video games, or most stories in general really, the story does not revolve entirely around you and your actions, so that several significant events can and will occur without your being able to do anything about them (simply because you, like the other characters, had little idea a plot was afoot). Understand that and the plot's not bad, really.

  • Me, I loved DA2. Loved it. Some of the magic from Origins was lost in translation without a doubt (more Mass Effect; less Baldur's Gate), but the game's got a charm of its own. Make the characters age *just* a bit or have some other clear indication of the passage of time, make some of the subplots get more foreshadowing (extra character development for Meredith would've explained a few details in the last act), and make the game more open in the sense that you don't *have* to do side quests.

  • I like the fact that Cassandra Pentaghast's hair is white in the trailer but black in the game.

  • I'd love to be able to say it's bad because it was rushed out to the consumers, but even WITH prolonged production time, I fail to see how this game would have become a successful follow-up.

  • There is no epic storyline.

The entire game consists of side-missions.

The graphics somehow became worse than in origins.

They raped the fond memories of some of my favorite DAO characters.

    Combat is poorly designed.

Interaction with companions is horribly(!) designed.

Making the main character speak was the biggest facepalm moment I ever had in a long time.

This pile of shit isn't worth the Dragon Age title.

    It's fucking GTA: Kirkwall.

  • @sjdk1000 combat is good except for the eneimes

  • @sjdk1000 and the award for best discription of dragon age 2 goes to....this guy!!!

  • Dragon age origins was awsome

dragon age 2 was out of this world much better(in my opinion)

but Levanoir was right Skyrim takes all One more thing btw i wonder who would win Hawke? or the dragonborn

  • @calvingoo

Seriously, DA2 better than origins? just...no

  • @calvingoo I'd say the Dragonborn if we're dealing with any non-Mage Hawke (Hawke's just your average person in the end, in terms of abilities). I imagine we'd be looking at a *fairly* even match otherwise, dragon shouts not withstanding.

That's the nature of the differences between the two game settings though: dark fantasy (Dragon Age's genre) is always going to mean a tough life for the characters involved, with little in the way of, say, divine intervention or invincible artifacts.

  • @Kitsune44X yeah same thing here

  • WHEN DID ALL THIS HAPPEN?!?!

  • SPOILER. I like the way they put the qunari as the problem in this trailer when the real threat is the Templars. Did not like he unused scenes and powers

  • For some reason the visuals look a little bit better here. And what's with all these unused scenes?

  • Skyrim was THE dragon game of 2011.

  • (Before DA 2 Release)

*Jumping from my seat up and down* "Hell ya! Best game I've waited for, EVAR!"

    (After DA2 Release)

"What the fuck did I just play?"

    Nice trailer though....

  • I don't understand the hate for DA2.

Sure, the areas were very repetitive, but it didn't stop the combat from being engaging and fun! There were a lot of funny dialogue choices in this game and I couldn't help but love every character in it.

For DA:O, the combat was a bit... eh, but the story and scale was amazing!

I love them both equally, each for their own merits. Perhaps you guys should stop looking at the reasons why Origins was superior and start looking at the reasons DA2 is a good game.

  • @kalmahcarl i totally agree with you there...

  • @kalmahcarl I'd like more extra content for da 2 though, origins seemed to get alot more dlc, like awakening was quite a big one. THe current legacy and mark of assassin are well...rly short, u can finish them in less than an hour

  • @kalmahcarl The story and content for Origins was great. I agree that the combat was lacking. I like DA2 for the better combat and visuals but the skill trees, weapon restrictions, repetitive areas, generic enemies, and the companion like/dislike mechanic I though were much worse than Origins. Overall I would say I like them close to the same amount as well. Perhaps DA3 will surpass both of them.

  • @kalmahcarl Ok, not only am I happy that someone else shares my views, but I am also happy to see that this comment hasn't been red-arrowed to death like so many before I've seen! They are both great games in their own right, both thoroughly enjoyable and both with their own flaws, as all games will have. Hopefully, if they release another sequel, they will combine the best parts of both games, so everyone can agree it's amazing.

  • I liked DA2

  • Thumbs up if SkyrimDA2

  • 0:38 HEY GUYS LOOK AT MY NEW CAMERA, OH WAIT THIS AINT A CAMERA.

  • Game's awesome, but I like DA:O more. And if Isabela looked as Me-ow in DA:O as it does in DA2, I wouldn't play the latter at all. Just sayin'.

  • I finished dragon age 2 like six times and once, i ended up with fenris. but the other five times it was all isabela. <3

  • Oh PLEASE, stop this idiotic fight about DAO-is-da-best and DA2-is-so-much-more-epic and why-u-no-understand? . It's absolutely useless and you're wasting your precious time. NOBODY IS GOING TO CHANGE HIS/HER MIND ABOUT THIS AND THEY WILL JUST ARGUE WITH YOU EVEN MORE BECAUSE THEY BELIEVE THEIR OPINION IS THE RIGHT ONE. It's just like that. So PLEASE be so kind, speak your mind and don't hate because others don't think the same. And let's agree to disagree, yes? ;)

  • such a shame that most of the things in this trailer diidnt happen

  • The one thing I disliked about DA2 in comparison to Origins was having to be a human character. I would of liked to be able to mix it up with a dwarf or elf as well. I think they should for DA3 make combat like DA2, but the stat system of DAO, like being certain races raising other stats up, and the same with the class system. That would probably make for game of the year, just right there to me.

  • i prefer the combat system of dq2 over origins, but mages have quite some deadly power in origins but i still prefer dq2

  • I don't care who thinks what is better.

All I want to know is... Why is the Cassandra's hair white?

  • dragon age 2 was a great game! its a matter of opinion, neither is wrong.

  • I want a refund on this game lol

  • i dont care what anyone says, i didnt beat origins like 6 times to not get the second one.

  • Man, I want the music from this trailer. ._.

  • LOL Dragon Age 1/11/11, Skyrim 11/11/11

  • @xMariiih ... nope I have this game since October

  • @Vinicius9851 1:15 <- I meant about this. They chose that date for the end of the contest or whatever, and bethesda chose the date 11/11/11 for the release of skyrim. see my point?

  • This was honestly the most disappointing game I've ever played. Was looking forward to it after DA: O and was severely let down.

  • if i see that battlefield ad one more time...

  • Vai se fuder Edu e sua moto

  • i like the dwarf :D

  • u know what do i do when i see a game i dont like?

    i shout :

    FUS RU DAH

  • @BLACKCAT0100 You got the shout wrong, go away.

  • @BLACKCAT0100 You know what I do when I see someone making a fail comment with a bad meme? *dislikes*

  • Well, Time to kill myself.

  • Dragon Age two have worse graphics than Dragon Age one. story is not based on the game. And the reason they created the Dragon Age two was because they wanted to go with the flow. Games like Dead Island, Skyrim, Diablo, and Call of Duty MW3 had their ideas but not the people who made Dragon Age. So Dragon Age two is bad. in both action and structure. I passed the Dragon Age two after three days. But the game itself is good but not good enough.

  • @ConnorRCS DA2 has better graphics. The story is not about Darkspawn but is still based on the DA mythology. DA2 had it's own ideas, hence a better story than the games you mention. The action is repetitive and can get boring but is still engaging.

So which is it? Is it bad or not good enough? I agree it's not as good as DA:O but it's not nearly as bad as it's made out to be imo.

  • too bad DA2 was the biggest disappointment since Deus Ex Invisible War.

  • My filler game.

  • SKYRIM

  • Hey guys can u help me out? I may sound noobish or whatever but I finish Dragon Age Origin and playing Dragon Age 2. In 2 what happen with the grey Warend? It talks about Ostagar and King Calin and The Jeneral betrayal. Someone explain please? :(

  • @AfterIifes Seriously? Well King Cailan was the ruler in the first game. He was killed in the first area common to all races, Ostagar. That´s where you fought too, right after becoming a Grey Warden.

Well you got betrayed by Loghain who didn´t bring the flanking reinforcements but told them to retreat.

It all happened right in the begin of the whole game.

  • Why the fuck is this game named dragon age... i don't see any dragons hm?

  • @ville1236 look harder .... also it is named DRAGON age much like the other ages were named... it is simple a marker in time like the Golden age and such it is not in responce to there being dragons... or it would have been called dragon world.... you should pick up a guide there are 12 ages or so in that world... we play in the age of dragon

  • @ville1236 because its taking place in the beginning of an age called 'dragon age' which represents the return of dragons. they went extinct for decades(maybe more, i cant recall now) in the games universe. so thats why the game is called 'dragon age' and there are dragons also they are pretty badass

  • Great game bu't Origins is better.

  • I don't understand all the hate this game gets. Granted, it differs a lot from Origins, but still.. Maybe it would've been better as a standalone game or something, I for one love it. Especially the combat system and the fact that your character has a voice actor.

That said, it does lack a lot in the RPG department when compared to Origins, so that may be it. For all I know I would've hated DA2 as well if I had played Origins beforehand.

  • @froznbr0d I think both games are good. But DA2 reuse the same areas agan and again.

  • I don't see anything wrong in both games?

When did we become so unsatisfied man?

I mean the game has beautiful graphics, wonderfull places to explore.

Origins is awesome because of the fantastic storyline although the combat got a little repetitive.

And 2 is awesome because it has much better gameplay and combat has evolved a lot since then the only backside is the story perhaps.

but still, if I summarize that, how can either game be bad?

  • i like in da2 only fast combat and the main character's talking

  • Slow combat in Origins?? ... Its realistic at least :P

  • that was the most epic 1:21 seconds of my life

  • @MikeLe0nhart nah bro its good game

  • Its been years since this trailer was released, and nobody has found the music for this yet?

  • Fun tip: if you find a comment. CTRL+F (name).

  • I will now dedicate approximately 46 hours of my life reading through youtube until i find "MikeLe0nharts" comment, BRB...

  • silly Meredith creating 82 accounts -.-

  • The game really wasn't that bad..

  • I´d say the reaosn this gets so much hate is because "It wasn´t as good as the first one." If this had been an original title I bet it wouldn´t get half as much hate. I mean it still has it´s problems, but it´s not a bad game.

Still, if you make a sequel people except it to be like the first one, only better. Hear this Bioware

  • song?

  • Mage, it is fun

  • so i heard a lot about this game and gnna play it soon but cant decide which to pick mage or warrior does it affect the game at all i need advice ANYONE?????????????

  • @iwillfollow24 I haven't finished it, but your class does change some dialogue. It seems that the "default" hawke is Mage, but that shouldn't stop you from choosing warrior/rogue. The companions you get will also depend on class. Mage will have the brother sibling(Warrior) while the Warrior will get the sister sibling(Mage).

I use the context of "default" in a similar way to the "Dragon Age: Origins Events" choices you can make. You'll understand once you play the game.

  • i always go default on these games since in orgins i was a overall good male noble and romanced morrigan so i should be the mage then? Just wondering also how is the game so far

  • @iwillfollow24 sry late reply. You might know the answer by now, but anyway.... yeah, you should be mage if you're really into the default stuff, and maybe stick with elemental/arcane/blood mage skills if you're really that dedicated to default. Otherwise, just be mage and make whatever choices you want.

  • @iwillfollow24 I think Origin's default is a human male magi origins as well, since the family name is Amell. Be an arcane warrior using sword+shield and heavy warden armors and the trailer head morph. That's if you want to go as default.

Origin's Sacred Ashes and Calling's trailer suggests that the warden is an Arcane Warrior Mage. (from the way he cast flaming blade on his sword and his glowing eyes when he kills the Dragon)

  • Good game and gameplay

But its a bit short and the ending is really weird, you are just stuck in your estate and you can't even go outside, why cant they make games like oblivion, that game must be near impossible to 100%

  • Where can i get that armor thar hawke is wearing in the trailer?

  • @TheVWally That's the Champions Armor... which is weird because the one he's wearing is the Mage's version, anyways you will find pieces of it in your travels after you defeat the (POSSIBLE SPOILER AHEAD)

    Arishok

  • I thought it had some things going for it, such as better graphic and much faster and larger battles than DAO. Bit I thought the story jumped around a bit. It went from Refugee, to Deep Roads, to a Qunari invasion, then to battles with the templars and mages. It didn't really have many likable allies as well, such as Allistar, Morrigan, and Leliana. It has it's downfalls and advantages, but it can never reach the epicness of DAO.

  • @MikeLe0nhart the game is 2 years old u noob and its a great game go back to playing BARBIE HORSEBACK RACING troll

  • @DVKNIGHT000 lets talk about the first game u played and call you a noob.

  • @DVKNIGHT000 Just bacause its two years old, it dosn´t mean he is a noob. How about those who play minecraft, or Left 4 Dead 1, or The Elder Scrolls Oblivion. not everyone are like you so keep your pathetic opinions to yourself, or wrote a book about it and let those who want to know read the book. but until then? keep your mouth shut or inform yourself better before you open it.

  • /watch?v=k2ntjwTdETo Gameplay with commentary! Hope you guys enjoy!

  • Oh look, an ad for Final Fantasy XIII 2 . . . In a Dragon Age II trailer . . . *maniacal evil laugh*

  • dragon age 2 has better graphics and combat style for sure but i miss the larger maps and the bigger campaign from the first

anyway both games are really good

  • F***CK YOU BIOWARE!!!

    WE WANT baldur's gate 3!!!

  • i play origins again after i beat DA2,,and origins looks very boring because the combat is so slowly..

  • @harfi212 That's why I used combat mod. Makes it faster nearing DA2 style. Although due to engine limitations it couldn't replicate the exact same thing. I enjoy using 2 handed swords now with quick slashes and all are AOE slashes.

  • @harfi212

I guess that Dragon Age:Orgins is too complicated for DA2 fans.

  • @harfi212 Well but I still like O cos it was intense and awesome. Also it had mode difficulty story and many more.

  • @harfi212 Origins combat is slower and feels more disjointed, but DA2 had a very limited scope in terms of locations, only the deep roads offered any real new areas (not including DLC)

  • @harfi212 What a load of shit.

  • @harfi212 I've made a mod (compatible 1.03) that increases atack speed of rogues and warriors (speed talent/frenzy talent) and reduces some cds and increases the difficult a little and enemies hit points to compensate, now... would you or other people download it? tell me please. =)

  • @val2161 no its not u low life scrub

  • @Vikkingor then you don't know anything about games.

  • @val2161 U missed +2 times, MISTER..

  • @val2161 I liked Origins art style it felt real and gritty.

  • @val2161 it all depends on the person really. there was shit i liked about da2 more than dao, and there was shit i liked about dao more than da2. however, in my opinion da2 was slightly better because i felt it had more replay-ability, and you were more involved in the game. but meh. still cant fuckin wait for dragon age 3!

  • @val2161 Not everyone thinks so, i would say you are retarded.. As you are telling people what to think and feel about a game.. Its all up to personal opinion about the game.. Maybe you think Origins is better, fair enough.. But for others DA 2 is better, and people should be allowed to belive such without retards like you coming in and say stupid bullshit

  • @RenOniiSan First of all I haven't said to anyone that they should like DAO better than DA2 I just think that it is retarded that they say DA2 is better than DAO, geez even Bioware is ashamed of that game. They want to make the third one better to compensate for the shitty game. It's not stupid bullshit, it's true :D have a nice day good sir.

  • @RenOniiSan Just stating MY personal opinion like you said

  • @val2161 No you were not, you were telling people what to think. There is a fine line between sharing ones opinion and telling people what is what. Telling someone someone is retarded for thinking one thing, because you dont like their opinion is not what you think it is

  • @RenOniiSan As long as I remember I wasn't pointing an AK47 to the guy's head and telling him that what he should like or no. I repeat I was thinking that the whole idea that someone says that DA2 is better than DAO is retarded. PERIOD.

  • @val2161 I repeat, calling someone retarded for thinking something is not stating your opinion.. That is stating a fact, that is false.. Clearly you have no idea about the human speech what @jakascott21 did, was right. He said DOA was better, and he stated his reasons why.. THAT is what an opinion is, what you did.. was coming with a stupid statement

  • @RenOniiSan wait what did he say before this huge arguement happened?

  • @val2161

ok well maybe its not. i know plenty of people who disagree with you and you really shouldn't insult people you don't even know. I think both of the games are amazing but thats just my opinion. See wow i didn't insult you once. Maybe you should give it a try! :D

  • @harfi212 Yes, but at least Origins doesn't trap you in one freakin' city.

  • @Blarghurface Neither does DA2. If you recall there are multipple outdoor areas too. Sure the world wasn't as big as DA:O but I wouldn't call the sequel a trap either.

  • The plot for DA:O was much better, but I loved the gameplay in DAII. Personally DAII was better than DAO in my opinion.

  • My guess Hawkes with Flemmeth and the warden with Morrigan. Hawke is honing his skills with Flemmeth especially if his a mage. And both will be the main characters again.

Or Hawke and the Warden have joined forces with Hawke being the main guy with the warden being his right hand man.

Hawke was great and I hope he back with some dragon powers

  • @PHIFan20 i think the warden is cooler to be honest...

  • Comment removed

  • @advancedgryphon omg origin's ending was glorious...at least compared to DA2

  • I like this game get at me

  • lol it came out on my Birthday wow.

  • I must agree we people, Dragon Age 2 could have been WAY better than that but I can still enjoy the fun bits which are more important than all the bullshit parts which aren't that many. Now I've got a request for EA and Bioware: Please, give us more free exploration in DA3. I want to be able to explore the world and do small missions or whatever even after beating the game. And had unlimited enemies like other RPGs. That would be nice.

  • I wish someone from the future spoiled the whole DA Story... im dying to know it !

  • ok so i made hawke a warrior not a mage...and this video makes it seem a lot more bad ass to be a mage...does it make a difference?

  • @MegaMetalFan777

I find that the mage was more "fun" but no it does not make a difference. Each class is different and fun.

  • uploader หั้ยด้วยน่ะ หามาอีก

  • Personally, I hated this game. Anyone who liked it IS STUPID!!!!! BLARGHARRRAWR

  • @vicrockz89 glad im stupid then

  • @vicrockz89 Fuck you Dickhead

  • I actually liked the game because of the ending where Hawke leaves Kirkwall, it has that grim feeling to it that made me appreciate the fact that not all endings are so happy. And also it leaves it open ended as to what happens next.

  • If you all drank some more wine, all of you would whine less about DA2.

  • @Z3koD3vo OGHREN!!!

  • @jelmu1 Both :) well if you want LOADS of content and customization then DA:O but if you want a more fluent cobat system teamed with better graphics and powers DA 2, hope this hepls

  • DA2 is awesome enough said yes its annoying some of the levels are used time and again but thats not what dragon age is about its about the combat and this has it set just right in that its easy to get into but is tricky to master on the higher difficulty settings do wish we had all the mage powers from the tv trailer though

  • SPOILER ALERT

Did anybody notice that in DA: O, if you killed Leliana while acquiring the Ashes of Andraste, that she appears in DA 2 regardless?

    That annoyed me so much.

But knowing how fucking preachy she was in DA:O, she'll probably say that the maker brought her back.

  • @BlackFrostFire101 I never killed Leliana but that is interesting.....

  • @BlackFrostFire101 She says exactly that.

  • @BlackFrostFire101 She does. hahahaha

  • I loved both games. At certain subjects, I think DA:O is better. At some subjects, I think DA2 is better. My point is I could play both games over and over and over.

  • People forget that there will be dlc/expansions to further explain the story and set up a background for Dragon Age 3's new protagonist. I think this series will be huge once the loopholes are filled.

  • @MrHenryBallsack Exactly. Although I preferred Dragon Age 2, I had, and still have, a great time with Origins. ^_^

  • DA:O was successful, but DA2 was much more appealing to a wider audience. They wanted sales and they knew how to do it. I also feel that the characters are far more developed in DA2 than DA:O while even though DA2's combat system is more flashy, DA:O had the superior combat system.

  • Dragon age 2 is just great, at least better than two worlds 2

  • LOl top comments saying : Game sold on well even after fanboys! Lets see how dragon 3 will sell on the bgning :) THIS GAME SUCKS

  • @Angelus12 when you make a video game we talk

  • @Stewie5791

    And i will :) You ll see.eheh

  • It was a decent game. Nothing too interesting, but not bad. Didn't really bring much new to the table, and I'm really disappointed with no Morrigan, but Flemmeth is still there...

Anyway WTF is with Flemmeth having a big role but never really doing anything? I don't get it.

Game had a really bad ending though. Worse than a black screen with "CONGRATULATION!" in the middle.

  • @hornet579

Sincerely, can you admit it, DA2 is nothing compared to Dragon Age Origins

Same dungeons & places, invariable quests, 0 exploration freedom, bug storm, unique allies’ equip, imitated clafting & gift, mad simplif anywhere, funny joke end..

There are some abominations inside EA!

  • @megaLiberazione I liked the storyline of DAO in theory, but it was boring in practice. Go to point A, try to recruit point A's army, discover point A's society is having trouble, resolve point A's trouble after a two hour long quest, succeed in recruiting point A's army. Go to points B, C, and D and repeat. Go to Landsmeet. Decide who will be king/queen. Go to Redcliffe. Have sex or die. Fight final battle. Bleh.

  • @hornet579 As for me, the game add as much as Mass Effect, in wich you really learn a great deal about an non-existing culture reading the codexes, where you'll find enough complemented by a 70 hour gameplay.

I'm really glad Morrigan stayed out of this sequel, for her role is being fulfilled for an great Dragon Age 3 concept. So is Flameth, her aparition means only that she survived and how.
