Thissong4you, if the lp you mention includes "farewell to whisky" and you could find some way of posting it, i would be more than much obliged to you. This is one of my favourite Gaughan songs, which i haven't heard for years.
This is wonderful, Michael. Realizing I have listened several times, I have added it to my favorites. I have the 1973 LP "The Boys of the Lough," recorded by the original group consisting of Cathall McConnell and Robin Morton from Ireland, Aly Bain from Shetlan and Dick Gaughan from Scotland.
First class upload Mike! You know what I like about the folk who play this particular genre, apart from the fact that they are excellent musicians? They all give the impression of honest to goodness, down to earth musicians. No glamour or airs and graces about them.
Love dem guys!
