@cre8ivegals82 This is both John and George. John is playing the main part. It's an open position A chord played with his pinky on the 5th fret of the high E string to make that note ring and hammering to form a Dmaj with his ring and index fingers. That part of how that great sound is created. Same chords used in verses of Dig A Pony, BTW. George plays the lead stuff. That's how it was played on the rooftop. Might have been different in studio though.
