He left WCW, because they weren't treating him right and not giving him a title shot, So he went to ECW and Paul Heymen let him do whatever he wanted, to be creative and that is when Stone Cold was really created not on WWF. Vince Mcmahon wasn't letting Austin be himself, he was trying to make Austin a gimmick.
