  • good, now the tv can tell us if we're all gonna die! :D

  • Was that only a test?.

  • @roboteng20 Yes, only a test.

  • I'm suprised Comcast is using older equipment in your area I thought they had completed installation to the newer hardware by now. I posted what the alert looks like with the new hardware on my page.

  • @atvrider7 As the FCC and/or FEMA stated, this test will NOT use CAP. Verizon used CAP but Crapcast was too quick to relay it.

  • @atvrider7 YOU WERE THERE??? HOW???

  • @elevatorsonly Yeah I know CAP (IPAWS) wasn't used. I was there when the decision was made. I was refefrring to the fact that a large majority of the EAS equipment Comcast is using is from Monroe Electronics, which implements a blue full screen (slate display) with white text with a red border.

  • @atvrider7 But how were you "there" when the decision was made, and how do you know about all this stuff?

  • @elevatorsonly think about it.

  • Hopefully this will also be redesigned on theEASexperience's creator

  • Hailing from Middle Tennessee, The Nashville area radio was pretty clear although SAME headers, attention signals and EOM's were all mixed into the audio on one station.. Television was actually fairly uniform, one might see one of three screens and a pretty consistent crawl text line. The audio was still pretty clear overall, but garbled up just the same. I'm on a charter network.

  • I didn't catch that so I wanna upload/remix this.

  • In the event of emergency, I will not be able to understand the audio message.

  • @295g295 It would be broadcast from the Oval Office. This was sent at the transmitting station, NOT the Oval Ofifice.

  • @295g295 it'll be updated to solve that problem :)

  • Wonderful that it worked for you.

  • @neominini Yeah. NOAA Weather Radio never transmitted it though :(

  • @elevatorsonly it will eventually.

  • @elevatorsonly NWR wasn't supposed to transmit it...

  • @firealarm211 I know. A few stations in the Pacific Northwest transmitted it, and all NWR stations should transmit next year's test.

  • @elevatorsonly its in discussion to do that in an upcoming test but we're still working out the kinks as you can tell.

  • @neominini did the test work for you?
