I played this game, its more slow and boring than a snail, that works at a library selling books on how to watch paint dry. Plus if your playing it on the Xbox be prepared to spend half your life downloading and installing all the patches, its just not worth it, its not worth paying a subscription, even this video is boring and it has freaking Bahamut in it, epic fail. P.S by Warhammer online and get your monies worth :P
By that logic rainbow six is just another FPS, assassins creed, another action adventure and final fantasy 7 just another RPG I think not. War hammer online is about an epic war between 2 sides, each rich with races, classes which all are you unique. Warhammer is a complete copy of WoW down to the money and interface. It only looks a little better than WoW, but it's still shit. You may think FFXI is slow, but real players know that split second thinking is the meaning between life and death. Have fun with your WoW clones man, I'll keep playing FFXI.

Blizzard contacted games workshop with an idea to create a warhammer game, the company turned it down as they thought it looked too cartoony and did not best represent the overall theme of warhammer. Blizzard then went away and made wow from the scraps.

After playing the collector's edition of WH Online (yes, I was very excited for years before it came out) I realized that the game was complete trash in most circumstance. In fact, I wrote a good 10 page review on such, rating it a 6.5 and got a fair amount of mails of people agreeing with my points.
FFXI is a solid MMO that doesn't rely on petty junctions and preestablished, although apparently successful, formulas of doing things. It's about teamwork, skill, and story.
I'm sorry if you haven't the patience or time to play it, but professional or old school players know the value of actually working for things, not being babied a tremendous amount, and feeling a sense of accomplishment with just about everything they do. A game based on story elements and not poorly developed landscapes involving those lackluster group quests in various tiers where people hardly know where they are or participate actively; not to mention the horrible PvP and gear setup.
With regards to their "Unique classes" I found them to be most uninteresting as pretty much played like every other class in the game; whether it was getting three dance-like moves to perform moves, combo moves to perform moves in the same way, "Da good/best plan" to perform moves in again the same way... etc. All the same, different names / slightly different animations in which to use them. At least WoW had adequate differentiation amongst classes. I'm glad you enjoy it, despite its flaws.

Plus FFXI has nothing to do with FFVII, it has a job system like FF1, FF3, and FF5 where you get to pick 20 jobs with 1 character. Though some people do use Cloud's name, but most people don't hang out with them so they don't play very long. It's not that I don't think Warhammer is cool just not a WoW clone of it...

My Apologies i forgot there are people out there who actually enjoy PVE'ing, what i fool i am for thinking people would get bored of that. The thrill of completing instance after instance of killing mobs only to just eventually kill a boss, score some loot, rince and repeat. Oh and in reards to RPGOmen, sounds like you placed a black orc and tbh yeah they are pretty boring which is why i rolled a blackguard. Its far more unique than wow, having like 24 different classes, for example.
Dynamis is the only instance I do and it is fun, takes a lot of teamwork, and has good rewards but I will admit sometimes it can be a little boring on the easier ones. I enjoy helping the others getting their wins though and getting their drops because they are fun to play with. Plus I mainly follow the storyline because the fights are really fun and I don't have to do them over and over again.

About every class in FFXI is fun. What makes them more fun is if I do get bored of them I can switch jobs without having to make a new character. What also makes them fun is that each job has a story. Everything in FFXI has a story, it's not just there, it's there for a reason. I'm sure Warhammer is fun and all but FFXI is an old school MMO and it's probably the most popular of the old school MMOs and with that I'm done with this conversation.

wat lv are u guys?if u see a couple of lv 99s killign the summons(bahamut,odin,curberus,kirin etc) thats maybe me and our friends. theres about 7 or 8 of us.
As chibi said, there is no lvl 99 >.> so please don't make statments like that, and all 4 summons that you did name, are not summonable in FFXI if thats what you believe :]
Pretty simple from there. Have bards two-hour and play songs on their party, drop, join the other party, and play their songs again. All melee two-hour and zerg Bahamut.
We've done this exact run successfully four or five runs straight now.

Dynamis is the only instance I do and it is fun, takes a lot of teamwork, and has good rewards but I will admit sometimes it can be a little boring on the easier ones. I enjoy helping the others getting their wins though and getting their drops because they are fun to play with. About every class in FFXI is fun. What makes them more fun is if I do get bored of them I can switch jobs without having to make a new character.
