Well, I think promoting your own local super-volcano is hardly a useful pastime; you can find a list in wiki. The one featured here is important because it cut the species homo sapiens (us) down to perhaps only about 10,000 individuals, almost making us extinct.
P.S.: The two supers in New Zealand were each about half the size of Toba in ejected volume, the way the sizes of these things are measured. Largest known was in Colorado, USA, 2-3 times larger than Toba.

Here in New Zealand we have a crater lake called Taupo which is way larger and deeper than the lake featured in this documentary. Lake Taupo has been identified as having been formed through exactly the same scenario as the lake in this video series. I would be more concerned about Taupo coming alive again. It is way larger than that lake and as I said, has errupted thousands of years ago also. Top this off with the recent volcanic activity of Mt Ruapehu which is a spit pace away from Taupo.
I'm not concerned, as it was the last supervolcano to erupt 25,000 years ago, and I guess that it'll take 500,000 years to fill up.I'm concerned about the Long Valley supervolcano in California, because that's at currently high pressure. I say Long Valley will erupt in 25,000 years, so I am only a little concerned. Well, any supervolcano could go off at any time soon if we freak out, because they'll siphon off the pressure. The pressure is the only thing keeping the system stable.
Not to worry - the elitist pigs who have access to their under ground shelters will do alright - and thank God for that , aye?

What about Yellow Stone? What if they all erupted at the same time? I hope I am killed instantly by one because I don't want to have to eat meat!
