In old times, lets say 1000 years ago, people truly believed that there were trolls in the woods. Back then they din't have words like yeti or bigfoot or alma. They called those trolls.
Actually, not everyone thinks BF is Gigantopethicus. The most famous ones in the field like Krantz did, Meldrum too I think. And other researchers, but personally I think it's not. Something that intelligent and humanlike in features, can you even call that an animal anymore? I sure can't. Gorillas don't run around and hide quietly like that either, animals make mistakes, that's why we're supposedly the higher species. And yet we can't catch these guys. Speech has also been found in recordings.

@JackassJunior627 look up johnny11's channel, he was filming his kids sledding in the utah mountains, and in the back ground you can see a group of large hairy creatures watching them sled. one of them stands up and runs away, and you can just tell its not hoaxed.
@Ketchikanful ok thank you for suggesting this link but i will be honest i have mix views of that sighting, for one thing being the hill is not that far from them he must have seen them, even some of the kids must have. But the fact they seemed curious at them does make it seem something bigfoot would do as its part of their behaviour.
@joiseygene, Also don't forget that the Bili Ape, sometimes called the Bondo Mystery Ape that lives in the Congo region was just finally found and filmed by researchers this decade. In like 2000 or 2001. The local natives had spoken of the Bili Ape for centuries. Yet modern science didn't finally catch up to the species until the 21st century. They nest on the ground like gorillas. But they have dietary habits and features of a chimpanzee. Although the Bili Ape is physically bigger than chimp.
Even though there's a lot less footage to analyze. For my money, the Freeman footage looks more believable than the Patterson-Gimlin footage does. Unlike the film Patterson shot, where the creature was walking across an open sandbar. The footage that Freeman shot has some tree's very near nearby to give the film some scale, and there's no doubt that whatever Freeman filmed that day is a very , very large bipedal animal of some sort? JMO.
Didn't Freeman also say he tried following it and it started screaming, growling, and throwing sticks and rocks at him? Apparently he stated that he said a prayer saying that if God let him live he would leave them alone.
They just recently shot a hybrid bear that was half Grissel and half polar bear. Scientists verified that , that's what it is so it's not out of line to shoot one of these to finally prove their existence. Would I shoot one ? Not unless I was afraid of harm. I would use a video camera but going on a Big Foot hunt without a BIG gun , cell phone and GPS ? No way !
It sure is clumsy for a wild animal, unless it's injured. Of course, the footprints would have revealed if it were favoring one leg or side of the body.

Unfortunately the only way to satisfy the scientific community is to shoot one and bring it, or a piece of it back to be scientifically catalogued. It's sad to suggest doing what we always have done but I don't find it blood thirsty to take only one in the name of science. It is true that if this primate is in the genus of homo then the killing of one may fall under the classification of homocide but it will be catalogued as such and laws could be made from that point to protect them.

He knew where to go, knew they had a history of sightings in that area so off he went. He actually sounds shaken, you can almost visualize him crouching in fear knowing he's pretty much stuck there, nowhere to run basically and only left to hope and pray. Thoughts must've been rushing through his head, he came to see something strange knowing potentially it's a dangerous situation, probably at that very moment wishing he hadn't come. Too close for comfort, and more than he bargained for...
Just a little too convenient, IMO. Especially since Freeman admitted to having faked Bigfoot tracks before, anyway. That didn't do a lot for Freeman's credibility concerning this video. Freeman sure seems awfully calm and unafraid for someone unarmed, who has no means to defend themselves. And suddenly something gigantic crosses the path right in front of him? How did Freeman know the thing wouldn't turn on him and rip him to pieces? When Freeman says, "I hear the brush popping." Sounds staged.

We can see how high he's filming, we can see the ground around him, taking this spatial/depth perception out further, we can estimate something reasonable. Do I know it's 10 ft. tall? Hell no. But does it look like it? Well, it looks substantially taller than a human, can we at least observe a 3ft range, between 7 and 10 ft? It just looks enormous, does it not to you?

He never admitted faking this video, only tracks. That many so-called believers give this video credibility is because of several things, first of all anyone (even con men) can have BF encounters if these hairy folks are out there as they seem to be, plus there's just a lot ringing true about this encounter. A very remote lonely location with sightings in the past, I think even by Freeman himself, so he knew where to go for a chance. The creatures themselves don't look the least bit fake to me.

He sounds what he is; scared & surprised. He knew they were there in the vicinity so to speak, he knew the area they supposedly reside and simply got what he came for and reacted accordingly... It's the same for all thrill seekers, sometimes you get a little too close for comfort and suddenly wish you hadn't gone... The one thing that gets me is the "alleged thing" looking down when he is slowly walking, reason I say this is if your supposed to live 100% in the woods you are acustom to walking in the woods and would not look down while walking but instead keep your head up always scanning for danger.

He's very freaked out by it actually, but you also need to know that he's a man already knowing they exist and aproximately knew where to go so the encounter wasn't a total surprise, more of a shock...
This video would have been convincing if the filmer was a little more freaked out about seeing bigfoot. Seriously, it's like he was expecting to see it. That's what i got out of this video.

@komodoman Actually, we do kill new species. That way science has a specimen for reference. However, seeing as how Bigfoot would be a unique find, that may change. Science has not found a new primate species in quite a while, so I am not familiar with the procedure, but I do know that for bugs, amphibians, and other smaller organisms it is the norm to collect a specimen.

If this was shot here in Oregon Biggie was probably trying to score some smack. Not only was this footage real but we also just witness a real drug transaction. BF should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
I need a clear, not shaky, video, of one tranqualised, UP CLOSE, not out in the trees or over the horizon, and by a team of officials, not some private hunter. And even then I'd like an explanation of all the other physical and evolutionary evidence against Bigfoot.

I just watched the National Geographic Bigfoot investigation. I really don't want to believe, but there's some compelling data out there. (And no, I don't believe in alien UFO's.)
What's very interesting about this is that the footprints found by Freeman here (attached to the purported sasquatch on film) have a condition where the second and third toes are longer than the big toe. Prints with this same 'deformity' were found independently by another researcher in the same area years before and a couple of years after the date of this video.

I come from the woods of WV. In all the time I have been going into the woods I have never found 1 deer that died of natural causes. i.e. old age. And we have deer running down main street. Finding a shed antler is like finding a prize. Its rare.
You have to consider the conditions the footage is shot, the object is either walking or running. Patty's walking, so the footage is stable apart from Roger's shaking due to running. Memorial Day is running, no other way that video could look. Freeman's nervous but the two Bigfoot are walking calmly. Marble Mountain's stable too, but long distance. No matter what you might think, filming an unknown huge biped primate is NOT easy, or comparable to snow leopards. You try it, bet you'll shake too.

Here's another problem. EVERY animal that lives around humans ends up being roadkill at some point (even bears and moose). Why hasn't there been a bigfoot smacked by a car or a truck?
And why hasn't one been shot? Their are hunters all over where they supposedly exist. If a kodiak bear is a rare find in remote Alaska, how can they be hunted, but not a bigfoot that lives in high populated states??

I believe without a doubt that there are Bigfoot's out there. I myself have never seen one but heard calls in the night when i was camping in a area where one was seen. I believe that there are more then what we are seeing in videos and that they keep themselfs well hidden from Man and we only see them when we go off into there Homes(Woods.swamps).
Apparently they're very fast movers, the walk is rapid and their run is speedy. Catching prey, like fish or even deer, shouldn't be a problem. There's also speculation the huts they may build, are similar ambush posts like human hunters use. They just sit inside the hut, silent and well-hidden, and leap out at the prey walking by. It's an interesting explanation anyway, just heard it in one of the Bigfoot Discovery Museum episodes, with Mike Rugg. Much of their behavior, to me, suggest 'people'.
The obvious question is how does a creature like that get enough nurishment in an envirement like that? its huge and its not like theres a lot of fruit trees hanging around in oregon and it looks way to slow to hunt
look at how big cows and horses get and they just eat grass and straw. These animals(bigfoot) are thought to eat barks, roots, foleage berries,friut, certain grasses, and in winter months possibly meat such as deer, rabbits or whatever becomes available.Hope this helps answer your question.

i myself being some 1 who has had there own bigfoot sighting along with my mother who never believed in bigfoot ghosts or aliens or anything of the sort.i find his reaction unbelievable.i seen what i seen at a pretty long distance away only close enough to see it was no person but my reaction was 1 of shock ,confusion and dissbelief i replayed my sighting in my mind a million times because this thing moved so fast through a soybean field it was gone allmost as fast as a deer could run

Just because there is no scientific evidence, doesn't mean that as a scientist you should discount videos and testimony.. even going as far was stating logic means its a man with a suit. If this were ancient China, and people told you they saw a bear with black and white patterns, would you just discount them or use it as an opportunity to explore possibly finding a new species? And in my opinion, if I was to look at everything I know about Bigfoot, which would only be testimony and videos because that's all there is on the subject, I would say that PROBABLY, it is a Hoax. Being a hoax, the only logical explanation would be a man in a suit. A Panda bear IS real, we know this because we have seen them and studied them. What does a Panda have in common with a Bigfoot?
It was once regarded as a mythical creature in the same regard as Sasquatch, as well as the silverback gorilla, and several other notable animals. by the way, tracks, hair, scalps, and bones have all been found, with many samples being unidentifiable. I think that counts as evidence. Of course this is all conjecture until somebody finds a live one. And yes, much of it is wishful thinking and just faith in peoples honesty. I once asked a some skeptics on this creature if they would want to go camping in sites where they were seen, and to my surprise after denying their existence, they replied,"are you crazy?" "I wouldn't want to be attacked by these things." People sure talk big about denying their existence but show how much wimpier they are when it comes to the real thing. If you can't go out and catch the creature on camera, don't brag about the things you supposedly have done.
@ayaprun It also goes to show how little they know of the lore of these creatures. In all the thousands of reports, I can only think of two attacks. Even then, one was a capture of a lone camper (likely a fabricated story) and the other was a response to being attacked. The evidence that is there overwhelmingly shows that sasquatch has little, if any, interest in attacking humans and probably regards humans as more a curiosity than anything.

Some people claim that Paul Freeman actually saw one in June of 1982, but in his quest to prove what he saw, he lost control of his emotions. He resorted to faking evidence to prove to people that he wasn't crazy and Bigfoot did exist. Paul Freeman couldn't stand it that people thought he was crazy.
Same comment every Freeman video. What I don't like about the Freeman video is the fact that he's on a well worn trail, not even a game trail. I highly doubt that an elusive creature, that doesn't want to be seen by us, would be hanging around anywhere where it is obvious we are.

Who are you to say how any given person should react to something like this? For the record, as for the existence of "bigfoot", I'm on the fence but leaning towards "no".

Actually, not everyone thinks BF is Gigantopethicus. The most famous ones in the field like Krantz did, Meldrum too I think. And other researchers, but personally I think it's not. Something that intelligent and humanlike in features, can you even call that an animal anymore? I sure can't. Gorillas don't run around and hide quietly like that either, animals make mistakes, that's why we're supposedly the higher species. And yet we can't catch these guys. Speech has also been found in recordings.

Even though there's a lot less footage to analyze. For my money, the Freeman footage looks more believable than the Patterson-Gimlin footage does. Unlike the film Patterson shot, where the creature was walking across an open sandbar. The footage that Freeman shot has some tree's very near nearby to give the film some scale, and there's no doubt that whatever Freeman filmed that day is a very , very large bipedal animal of some sort? JMO.

They just recently shot a hybrid bear that was half Grissel and half polar bear. Scientists verified that , that's what it is so it's not out of line to shoot one of these to finally prove their existence. Would I shoot one ? Not unless I was afraid of harm. I would use a video camera but going on a Big Foot hunt without a BIG gun , cell phone and GPS ? No way !

Unfortunately the only way to satisfy the scientific community is to shoot one and bring it, or a piece of it back to be scientifically catalogued. It's sad to suggest doing what we always have done but I don't find it blood thirsty to take only one in the name of science. It is true that if this primate is in the genus of homo then the killing of one may fall under the classification of homocide but it will be catalogued as such and laws could be made from that point to protect them.

Just a little too convenient, IMO. Especially since Freeman admitted to having faked Bigfoot tracks before, anyway. That didn't do a lot for Freeman's credibility concerning this video. Freeman sure seems awfully calm and unafraid for someone unarmed, who has no means to defend themselves. And suddenly something gigantic crosses the path right in front of him? How did Freeman know the thing wouldn't turn on him and rip him to pieces? When Freeman says, "I hear the brush popping." Sounds staged.

We can see how high he's filming, we can see the ground around him, taking this spatial/depth perception out further, we can estimate something reasonable. Do I know it's 10 ft. tall? Hell no. But does it look like it? Well, it looks substantially taller than a human, can we at least observe a 3ft range, between 7 and 10 ft? It just looks enormous, does it not to you?

He never admitted faking this video, only tracks. That many so-called believers give this video credibility is because of several things, first of all anyone (even con men) can have BF encounters if these hairy folks are out there as they seem to be, plus there's just a lot ringing true about this encounter. A very remote lonely location with sightings in the past, I think even by Freeman himself, so he knew where to go for a chance. The creatures themselves don't look the least bit fake to me.

@komodoman Actually, we do kill new species. That way science has a specimen for reference. However, seeing as how Bigfoot would be a unique find, that may change. Science has not found a new primate species in quite a while, so I am not familiar with the procedure, but I do know that for bugs, amphibians, and other smaller organisms it is the norm to collect a specimen.

What's very interesting about this is that the footprints found by Freeman here (attached to the purported sasquatch on film) have a condition where the second and third toes are longer than the big toe. Prints with this same 'deformity' were found independently by another researcher in the same area years before and a couple of years after the date of this video.

I come from the woods of WV. In all the time I have been going into the woods I have never found 1 deer that died of natural causes. i.e. old age. And we have deer running down main street. Finding a shed antler is like finding a prize. Its rare.

Eaten by coyotes counts as natural. And I've found plenty of bones from them. when hunting.
Bear cubs can be eaten by other bears, coyotes, and cougars. Or they can be left for dead by a starving mother that can't produce enough milk.
So it's likely an infant or juvenile bigfoot could fall victim to the same thing. If they don't have predators....why are they so rare?

You have to consider the conditions the footage is shot, the object is either walking or running. Patty's walking, so the footage is stable apart from Roger's shaking due to running. Memorial Day is running, no other way that video could look. Freeman's nervous but the two Bigfoot are walking calmly. Marble Mountain's stable too, but long distance. No matter what you might think, filming an unknown huge biped primate is NOT easy, or comparable to snow leopards. You try it, bet you'll shake too.

Snow leopards are EXTREMELY rare, and incredibly difficult to film. Yet people do film them, and they have a steady hand when filming them too. Where is there a steady shot of a bigfoot?

I believe without a doubt that there are Bigfoot's out there. I myself have never seen one but heard calls in the night when i was camping in a area where one was seen. I believe that there are more then what we are seeing in videos and that they keep themselfs well hidden from Man and we only see them when we go off into there Homes(Woods.swamps).

Apparently they're very fast movers, the walk is rapid and their run is speedy. Catching prey, like fish or even deer, shouldn't be a problem. There's also speculation the huts they may build, are similar ambush posts like human hunters use. They just sit inside the hut, silent and well-hidden, and leap out at the prey walking by. It's an interesting explanation anyway, just heard it in one of the Bigfoot Discovery Museum episodes, with Mike Rugg. Much of their behavior, to me, suggest 'people'.

look at how big cows and horses get and they just eat grass and straw. These animals(bigfoot) are thought to eat barks, roots, foleage berries,friut, certain grasses, and in winter months possibly meat such as deer, rabbits or whatever becomes available.Hope this helps answer your question.

i myself being some 1 who has had there own bigfoot sighting along with my mother who never believed in bigfoot ghosts or aliens or anything of the sort.i find his reaction unbelievable.i seen what i seen at a pretty long distance away only close enough to see it was no person but my reaction was 1 of shock ,confusion and dissbelief i replayed my sighting in my mind a million times because this thing moved so fast through a soybean field it was gone allmost as fast as a deer could run

Just because there is no scientific evidence, doesn't mean that as a scientist you should discount videos and testimony.. even going as far was stating logic means its a man with a suit. If this were ancient China, and people told you they saw a bear with black and white patterns, would you just discount them or use it as an opportunity to explore possibly finding a new species? Why is everyone so obsessed with knowing yes or no. It's a small maybe that needs more evidence. That's my opinion.

Well, I am not a scientist, and I was stating an opinion just like you. And in my opinion, if I was to look at everything I know about Bigfoot, which would only be testimony and videos because that's all there is on the subject, I would say that PROBABLY, it is a Hoax. Being a hoax, the only logical explanation would be a man in a suit. A Panda bear IS real, we know this because we have seen them and studied them. What does a Panda have in common with a Bigfoot?

It was once regarded as a mythical creature in the same regard as Sasquatch, as well as the silverback gorilla, and several other notable animals. by the way, tracks, hair, scalps, and bones have all been found, with many samples being unidentifiable. I think that counts as evidence. Of course this is all conjecture until somebody finds a live one. And yes, much of it is wishful thinking and just faith in peoples honesty. It's fun though, so quit being a downer, you jackass :D

I once asked a some skeptics on this creature if they would want to go camping in sites where they were seen, and to my surprise after denying their existence, they replied,"are you crazy?" "I wouldn't want to be attacked by these things." People sure talk big about denying their existence but show how much wimpier they are when it comes to the real thing. If you can't go out and catch the creature on camera, don't brag about the things you supposedly have done.

@ayaprun It also goes to show how little they know of the lore of these creatures. In all the thousands of reports, I can only think of two attacks. Even then, one was a capture of a lone camper (likely a fabricated story) and the other was a response to being attacked. The evidence that is there overwhelmingly shows that sasquatch has little, if any, interest in attacking humans and probably regards humans as more a curiosity than anything.

Some people claim that Paul Freeman actually saw one in June of 1982, but in his quest to prove what he saw, he lost control of his emotions. He resorted to faking evidence to prove to people that he wasn't crazy and Bigfoot did exist. Paul Freeman couldn't stand it that people thought he was crazy.
