  • Well, looks like they have to re-oil the lanes now, lol.

  • Yes, he did it on purpose. No, its not a foul. If you don't release the ball its not a foul!

  • Machuga had a 256 -- his opponent could have gotten 245 if he struck out... definitely intentional

  • he does it when he knows he will win

  • he already had the game sealed. this was on purpose

  • keep hitting 6

  • he needed a pin to win, i wish he dropped it somehow

  • when it was happened?

  • What a gay trick shot

  • intentional my ass.

  • @BNastyProduce he took his mike off at the beginning of the video. It was absolutely intentional.

  • "he did it on tv folks!"

  • y'all missed part of the backstory...he bet his friends that he'd do the flop if he got the opportunity in a winning situation. Not only did he get the winner's check...he got the side bet as well

  • 5 people have done the Machuga Flop by accident.

  • the machuga flop makes me wanna laugh so hard that it shakes the universe sota speak

  • im guessing while throwing the ball, he realized that he made a wrong position or something and instantly decided not to let it go... :)

  • I saw it live. It was a surprise to the announcers, but not to Machuga. Also, according to the rules, since he never let go of the ball, he didn't foul. What happens after the You Tube video ends is that he gets up, goes back to his normal starting position, and throws his shot. No penalty, since he never let go of the ball. The only reason he took a chance with the move was because he had already won it.

  • Aiya look at the scoreboard. He won his opponent already so he can anyhow throw the last ball. He can even blindfold himself and toss the ball at the emcee and he would still win.

  • must of really hurt his ribs, sounding like they hit the floor first =/

  • Well....that's one minute of my life I'll never get back :|

  • @sajsha14 so you watched it twice?

  • @cpohlhammer pretty much yeah. didnt make sense the first time. still doesnt...

  • No, guys, it's not an accident, it's called the 'Machuga FLOP' for a reason.

WAR Dave Ryan, the most epically terrible announcer ever. Who can't call bowling? Rob Stone completely pwns your ass even while tied to a cement block, eyes closed and both hands behind his back.

If it wasn't for him, people would realize that this was planned.

  • Lol

  • He did it on purpose. Like the title says, it's called the "Machuga Flop"

    :)

  • Мужик собранный - ни ругаться, ни отчаянье изображать не стал.

    Встал - ушёл. Кремень.

  • this is an accident poor machuga

  • it;s not an accident, he does it to make crowd laught

  • @kirby271194 that was an accident

  • @vitalogy66 you call the Mike Machuga's signature trick an accident? You should see other vids of his flops that prove that he's the master and no way it's an accident.

  • @SCDWldCrd Well, one year ago i see that's not accident but it seems to be think...but i think sometimes have injuries cause is very strong "trick" :( Only he know what's happen here :)

  • I laught most on this video than any other on yt

  • was it on purpose?

  • for me no but is cool

  • cool

  • @flanker22 Yes, it was on purpose. Its his celebration.

  • @flanker22 yep..

  • @flanker22 yep

  • @flanker22 hi me from a year ago, ya he did it on purpose you idiot. it was a celebratory thing, like dancing in the endzone since he knew he won. sad thing is they show this on blooper reels like he was bad which is obviously isnt.

  • @flanker22 omg i loled so hard

  • @flanker22 well seeing how the camera guy was following him so closely, Im sure it was lol

  • Machuga is incriable...you are the best...

  • Mike is the man!

  • I wonder how he first figured out this trick.......my guess is a terrible mishap that didn't hurt.

  • lol, must not have felt right. we all get those feelings. anyone know what happened after?

  • could you theoretically perform this move at your local bowling alley during regular hours (not during league's or after hours) and not get kicked out

  • yes all u have to do is tell them that your thumb got stuck and your throw the ball really fast and your flew onto the lane

( sorry this comment probably doesnt matter considering its 4 months late) XD

  • mikes a nice guy i know him he is going to be one of those bowlers

  • If you release the ball and you ARE over the lane, that's a foul.

So walking up within spitting distance of the pins is fine as long as you have the ball, but once that ball leaves your hand, it's a foul.

  • The rules very, VERY clearly state that you MUST, you *MUST* release the ball in order for it to be a foul. He did not release the ball, hence it is not a foul. Stop nitpicking it by saying "he could walk down the lane" blah, blah.

What he did is not a foul by the official rules of professional bowling no matter how badly YOU want it to be or how much YOU think it should be.

  • I dont bowl very much but from common sense I think It would be a foul had he let go of the ball. Zirezu.... If you are already past the line and let go of the ball that is a foul. If you pass the line and dont shoot but still have it. It wouldnt be. So thats just how I make sense of the rules. Cool video. I heard something that he makes that when hes about to win?

  • You pass the tape - you foul. That's like saying to me that you can run down the lane, stand right in front of the pins and it's only a foul the instant you throw it at the pins. I appreciate the rules may be different on the other side of the pond but.... English rules are based on American so..

  • They said it wasn't a foul, it was a foul, he crossed the tape. It doesn't matter if you don't actually touch the tape, if you go past it, it's a foul.

  • not a foul unless you let go of the ball.

  • You just flat out don't get the idea I'm trying to put across. It doesn't matter if you let go of the ball or not, your ENTIRE body crossed the line which is a blatant foul and if you like the foul is now pending. Therefore when you next throw the ball the pending foul becomes an official foul.

  • You know more about bowling I just was trying to say that I think thats what the other guy was trying to say. Maybe its different rules or something. Not normal bowling ally rules. Tournament rules or something

  • This is from page 19 of the USBC 08-09 rule book.

5a/2 A player goes over the foul line while retaining possession of the ball. Is this considered a foul?

No, a legal delivery must be executed for a foul to be committed. A legal delivery is made when the ball

leaves the players possession and crosses the foul line into playing territory.

  • FYI, the PBA isn't governed by the USBC rules.

  • he did it for the lulz

  • um, no.. its a regular thing for him. he took off his mic before the stunt...

  • thats awesome

  • so he did this on purpose?

  • yeah

  • I was Waiting for Him to do this on this Sunday again, b/c he only neeeded 5 more pins....But he didn't =(....i think b/c there was still one more game after that...the women's. Feldman vs. someone else...

  • i was there the first time he did this.. it was in 1996 at Rolling Meadow lanes i was 6 at the time, my dad bowled on the league with him... Mike was pretty drunk and he told everyone to stop and he did it.. i laughed pretty hard so did everyone else in the alley.

  • Too much rosin.

  • i sorta actually did do this lol the pin spotter broke so i thought id throw the ball there was no down pins left on the deck and before i threw the ball the sweeper came down and i was like "OH CRAP" and sorta flew down the lane

  • he did that on purpose cause he already won right? i think his score showed a 258 and the max the other guy could get is a 240 am i right?

  • That's classic. Long live the Flop!

  • Ahhhh it was done on purpose, glad someone who has a clue posted lol... and the guy said that it wasn't a foul cuz he didn't let go... lol

  • he did it on purpose you dumbass motherfucker.

  • twat

  • That rules! Seen this a few times at my local center. Good work!

  • Should I point out the irony of calling someone an idiot in a language you can barely write?

  • It was funny, maybe a little unsportsmanlike. But hell, if its good for ratings....give it to him

He actually did it in several pro ams before finally getting to do it on TV.

  • "My finger was too big for the hole."

  • i think he did it on purpose...

  • nooooo really?!?

  • ok listen to the guy he says he has WON THE GAME and he also took the mic off so he wont break it. Doesnt make sense... :P

  • sorry! did not mean to say the last sentence (Doesnt make sense) lol

  • omg, how amazingly funny L:D:D:D:D
