That stream of water was the ballon's natural defense mechanism kicking in, you see when the ballon senses danger it will employ a number of defenses that will help the ballon when being harassed or when it has come under attack, in this case the ballon assessed that a jet of water was the most appropriate defense to use out of it's massive dictionary of defense tactics this tactic was used in hopes that the cool water could put out the hot wick, however sadly youtube only allows 500 words LO
