Just watched both this performance and the Britney/Nsync performance at the same award show and same year and wow...another reminder as why I am a huge BSB fan and will always be. continue the great albums. also out of the three, britney was lipsyncing (no doubt), couldn't tell with n'sync, but for sure bsb was singing live. they are the few ppl left that sound like their cd when they sing live. love it.

what happened to the VMA these days? from rock (smashing pumpkins, green day, live, etc) to pop (bsb, nync, etc) it used to be great. now it's full of crappy sell-outs.
Nah, they sounded really great. Except for Nick being a bit off tune when he was singing his low notes in the beginning of "I Want It That Way," the rest of the performance went swimmingly well. Love this song and love their performance. AJ was awesome in "Larger than Life" - I always love that laugh he makes at the beginning of the song. Their performance was full of energy and excitement. Perfect for the VMA's. But what's up with Nick's hair xD

This is the best performance by any artist on any MTV awards show! These guys are Legends and deserve props! I have always said they were destined for great things!
@CrazyGameCollector I personally think that the Backstreet boys have better vocals. They harmonize nicely and their live performances are much better. I don't think anyone who likes the Backstreet boys can hate Justin Bieber or the Jonas brothers. You're right, they're all pop artists with a target demographic of teenage girls. But there's just something about the Backstreet boys that sticks with us more because we grew up listening to them.
