How are you able to part your daughters' hair? I guess what I mean is how are you able to stretch it at the roots since the ghanian braids don't start at the roots. This has been a problem for me because my daughter's hair is real thick, tangled and packy at the roots. So much that I can't use a comb to make parts. I do detangle while her hair is damp also.
Omg your impersonations are hilarious...your daughters have such gorgeous hair. My mom used to thread my hair hair but she never did it like this...I always looked like I had antlers lol. Great vid! :)
Thank you for making videos that are not only informative but hilarious! I hope you continue to find the time and inspirations to continue making great videos.
@GirlsLoveyourCurls, thank you Nadine, thats helpful. my daughter's hair is past shoulder length so i will try doing the larger sections using thread or larger box braids. its very difficult for her to sit still lol! this style should cut the time down.
@vibranta Hello! When my girls were around three, their hair was pretty long, so I would use African threading, but with a lot less sections, usually around 6. I would switch up the part lines for different looks and add ribbons and hair clips when finished. These styles would last around a week. I'd also do about 12 box braids using the basic braid (two strand twists don't last a s long).
Girl you are so funny ooooo. I am an African American married into a Nigerian family (which I love). YOu doing the skits are hilarious. I always do little skits like that arund family and they love it. Your family is sooo lovely and you are a beautiful mother. God Bless oooo.lol
@MobettaTwins2010 LOL!! Ooooo Tank you oooo!.lol. I know you feel me when I say that being around African family is always a wonderful and colourful experience :) Thank you for your kind words and thanks for watching! x
@redheadreflections Hello! Sorry, I have family in Ghana who I get mine from, so I'm not really familiar with anything I could personally reccomend. x
This was so funny and helpful! I'm subbing because Baby Girl has the same jumper as my little one and likes to blow bubbles! LOL So glad I clicked to check out your channel :-)
@AfroTee Thank you and welcome! :). She loves that jumper. I told her it's almost too small and she asked if she could wear them as bed clothes... lol. Smh.
Ohmigoodness!! ur skits remind me EXACTLY of my family. The only difference is the rest of my family is Nigerian, not Ghanaian haha :)) Love ur vids; keep up the good work!
I have also noticed the growth of her hair comparing to the first thread hair video last year.....it looks so healthy and thick..I wanted to know too, do you trim their hair and so yes, do you do it yourself..(if yes...i would like to see a video of it whenever its time for their trims) or you bring them to a salon?
@kenbrid Hello my dear :). I trimmed their hair once when they were 3 and 4 and I have no Idea why lol.... I guess I thought it was something you were supposed to do and hadn't done it yet, so I did. Anyway now I only trim if I see damaged ends. I would only trim that section of hair, so I wouldn't go to a salon. Their ends are tucked away most of the time, so that keeps them in good shape.
You have such a great personality! I laughed so hard!;-) I love your videos! You show me what I need!LOL Your daughters hair is beautiful! Thanx for sharing!
I had a jerie curl too but I loved it! It wasn't juicy and drippy and my hair was a good length! I always enjoy your role plays, great job! I always laugh and crack a rib! Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful style. I will have to try this on Livi!
Hi, thanks for the video, I couldn't stop laughing. Do you live in the UK? where did you get 'giovanni direct leave in' in the UK ? I have been looking for a natural leave in conditioner to use on my daughters' hair. She is just over 2 and I use 'Paul Mitchel The conditional' at the moment. Thanks again. Stay Blessed x x
I had a reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal good laugh from this.....It was like an SNL skit.......LOLOLOLOLOLOL......when u did the american blk girl voice....I spit up my water.....and I swear I felt ur WTF moment when ur "aunt" gave you Janet's hair style....LOLOLOL....too funny.....beautiful styles too....great vid!
Oh my goodness Nadine! My abs have just had a workout from laughing at your "Kelly Pem" skit! You are talented in so many ways. Now, I was never allowed the Jheri curl and I was so envious of my older sister when she had hers done. even though she left 'Soul glo' style grease patches EVERYWHERE!!! Just let you souuul gloooooo! (sing it with me!)
Now, Nadine... please may we have photographic evidence of the Kelly Pem?
@msmo001 LOL @ Soul Glo! You know I think I avoided cameras while I was walking around looking like Janet Adwoa, because there are no pictures of me until after the "style" grew out LOL.
Oh gosh I can see that you are so back again....It feels so gud to laugh so much after a busy day like today at work..gosh..Well, anyways...check out this hairstyle on my daughter next week at ur Facebook site...cos u bet I will try this...love it very much..thanks so much for the tutorial and I am looking foward to part 2 of it!
HilllLarious! You need to take this show on the road. you always bring a smile to mey face. and good grief, where did you find those through back earrings you had on in the Kelly Perm scene.
I am hollaring at you!!! And I had a 'kelly perm' or gheri curl. It was the BOMB!!! Albeit, greasy but all that moisture made my hair grow so long and healthy. Now I'm locked and lovely!!!
@future2331 You are so right! Moisture is key. I have to say of all the processes I put my poor hair through, it grew the longest with the 'kelly pem'! (
LOL! I'm Haitian and I know that you'd better not turn down food when you are visiting your auntie--it's like an insult, and you better not let yourself get bony because "back home we like some meat on our women!" LOL!
I LOVE your vids!!!! So funny, innovative, and informative!!!! Love the quality of the vids too!!! You look amazing after baby too!!! Beautiful Family and great hair styling!!!
I always look forward to your videos. I have a question though, I'm always on my phone and some of your videos I can watch and some I can't because it says its not available on mobile (like your last video) do you do anything different when uploading? I wish I can watch all of them..
@chellseababy It's funny you should say that. My friend said the same thing to me on the phone just now. I think I've fixed the problem. If not let me know. Thanks for watching! :)
you cracked me up! I'm Zimbabwean but we all have an aunt like that!!! I can't stop laughing! Keep up the good work!!!
