  • Great noodling.... love it..

  • Burgs...I am back from my deployment, and have just been able to give the Burgs Sig Tele pups a whirl....AMAZING! Thanks for pointing me in his direction. I am pretty sure though that Mick is dabbling in the dark arts, because these pickups have some SERIOUS MOJO! I have already come up with a couple ideas that I might lay down this weekend.

  • @SingleCoilVoodoo Haha! Excellent! I'm glad you like them. Mick does a fine job, I reckon. Enjoy and thanks as always for writing. :)

  • hey mate, seems brierleys are pretty great! have you tried the b90's (humbucker sized single coils) before? the are are almost no demo's out there... im considering looking into the fralin p-92 for my tele deluxe, but personally id rather get something made in aus :D

  • @burgerman666

Hi dude. What model pick ups are these? Are they the modern/vintage? At the beginning of the vid it says Turger 5's?

I wanna order a set of those pups:-)

Hope he delivers to London UK.

Is the tele ur fav? I have a Tele, Strat and Les Paul. I will never part with my tele.

  • @sroberts408 Burgs Sig series in the Tele. Mick has just posted something about them on his site. :)

    Cheers,

    B

  • @SaintEdger96 Thanks. Wasted youth. :)

  • Wow! Great tone and fantastic playing. What amp & strings are you using in this demo?

  • Thanks! I run Dunlop 10-46's on all of my guitars except the Floyds. The amp is my trusty Laney VC50 2x12 combo, modded with nice old Celestion Greenbacks and Svetlana EL34 tubes. It has a clean channel that would rival a HIWATT. I love that thing! :) Thanks for watching.

  • wow *_ * amazin' sound you got man !

i think i could offer a pair of these pickups to my baja telecaster i find to be a bit too vintagey ... perhaps , but i'm really happy with my sound so ... one day :)

  • That neck pickup sounds bloody fantastic!

  • can this guitar be good for punk ?

  • This guitar is a Telecaster. A Telecaster is good for everything. :)

  • how do these pickups sound with distortion?

  • Check out any clips I've made in the last two months with a Tele or Strat. Pretty bloody good, I reckon. :)

  • I've read a review on Mick's "Harmony Specials" and they are supposed to be amazing. Turned up to 10 on the guitar you get a tone that rivals PAFs which, if you like cranked up distortion are the ant's pants. Back it off to lower settings and you get classic Telecaster low impedance pup tones without that flat sound you usually get from a hot pickup when it's turned down.

I've ordered a pair, spoke to Mick Thursday and they should arrive in a couple of days. Will report of the outcome.

  • first viewer!

    great demo as always

    and very good sound

  • Did I say thank you to you? I meant to say thank you. Thanks! :)
