Go with the S10's much lower end and power even though both have 1000w amps. The T12's will do you more in the long run, but you can almost get 2 T4's for the same amount as a T12, one thing with the boxes, you need to get a formidable line and box count can only do that. I would start with 6 of the T4's and get them in the air , flown. Big diff in sound vs. ground stacked. I would do 3 S10 per side and cardioid sub config. Would be most impressive system. We are dealers too
ok, you may be right on that, the driver was really heavy, which for a NEO driver seemed weight wise closer to a ceramic mag. after looking at my video again...does look like a NEO assembly...my apologies.
@trinityprosound dont wanna argue. I just said that based on the facts thats a RCF driver and RCF spec sheet tells us it's neodymium stuff. I miself use RCF lf18n401 ( same used in Db DVA s20) and if u open them up u can see the NEO magnet ring. They are verry heavy because they have really strong and thick chassis. BTW nices videos. I really enjoy watching speakers opened.
@trinityprosound The giveaway on identification is how the venting holes are on the egde of the backplate. They always line up with voice coil, which means that this particular driver has an inside the coil slug magnet system. Inside slug systems are always neo based since ferrite/ceramic magnets don't have sufficient strength to drive the coil in pa applications. The driver in this video seems to be RCF's flagship 15LF451N or some OEM derivative of it. Great video though!
@DJSkiies yes this is a great line of speakers and equipment, you will not be disappointed with these speakers at all. pro grade speakers, not standard DJ type, higher quality overall...

Ok, additionally i would like 2 add th@ this sub performs very well indeed. I purchased 2 of these (in the UK) after consulting the guys @ Trinity (in the US) about their performance. Obviously this film review shows the inner workings of the sub, & i can testify the build quality is gr8 but i wanted 2 know performance. My verdict is that the 134 dB quoted as max SPL is justified. It develops a more punchy sound than a Mackie SWA1501 & is louder than 2 of them when only one is used. Exceptional!
nice overview there trinitysound, but i would have found this more useful if you had talked about the performance of the sub a little more. For example, a comparison between this and perhaps the Mackie SWA1501, RCF 905AS and maybe some other things you may have encountered such as the QSC dual 12 sub or maybe kv2/ JBL products, all of which are probably direct competitors to this unit. Well, at least they're all products i am considering purchasing which is why it would have been useful 4 me ha!
If I'm building a flying line array from scratch (bought nothing yet)...
-should I go for a S09 or S10
-and should I get say 3:T12s or 5:T4s
Based on your opinions
Also, I am impressed by the DB line of speakers, especially at the price point they are.

@noobsound - actually it is not neo, but ceramic. had to replace one a few months ago. it is quite a heavy driver in the S09.

ok hi whats the price on the SO9 15 sub,u can email me at westaudiotrini@live.com, i like the sub.
bassboyful 7 months ago
Note: Yes, that is a Neo motor (Neo = Neodymium-Iron-Boron or "NdFeB" magnetic material). It's just got a lot of it, which means it's a beefy driver.
