Doesn't the telescope knows in every moment where is and what is the time and date ???? If so it is not difficult for it to locate any object, i think.

Why are you saying it like the sun being up would make a difference? It does'nt actually ''look'' for the stars (like it has eyes) It uses gps.

@CharlieDraper Such as? But not what I was saying. I was saying the telescope does not ''look'' for the objects like an eye. It doesnt see anything. All it does is use gps to track its location and moves as the earth moves.

looks like he was doing this near sunset which would make it easier to find a star,I should try this with my 10" classic sometime(Just make sure if someone is considering this,DO NOT POINT YOUR SCOPE AT THE SUN!!!!!)
