Doesn't the telescope knows in every moment where is and what is the time and date ???? If so it is not difficult for it to locate any object, i think.

looks like he was doing this near sunset which would make it easier to find a star,I should try this with my 10" classic sometime(Just make sure if someone is considering this,DO NOT POINT YOUR SCOPE AT THE SUN!!!!!)

Why are you saying it like the sun being up would make a difference? It does'nt actually ''look'' for the stars (like it has eyes) It uses gps.
