whether you have a laizzez-faire attitude or an interventionist policy the fact of the matter is you must have something to back up your economy and currency. All that is happening now is the dollar is finding it's real level. The govt can only stimulate your economy through taxes and any exports you ship only produce dollars which are worthless. To buy imports you have to use the dollars from exports which dwindle and as the $ becomes worthless less and less is available.

Rico according to your constitution it is the govt that should issue currency and treasury bills based on the amount of Gold/silver. You have a private bank issueing tender based on nothing and a country financed by debt called `credit'! The dollar is just a piece of paper. Hilary Clinton is now asking China to buy all American Debt and hold dollars which are all totally worthless. I've spoken to many americans since 2000 and no-one believed or listened to me.
