I was 9yo when this song came out, and I still remember listning to this song with my mom when she would take me to school! LOL.. Still a GREAT song :0)
an oldie but goodie, I remember being in college in 1987 back in Georgia when this came out, really brings back tha memories, looks like it was made in my favorite park as well, Central Park Nyc. Go Natalie.
I Love This Natalie Cole 1987 Music Video, "Jump Start," Which Became A Top 5 R&B Hit In America, A Top 30 Dance Hit In America, And A Top 15 Hit In America.
My fave song by Cole is MISS YOU LIKE CRAZY, but this is , hands down, her best fast track. With Midnight Star at the production helm in the mid-80s, who could go wrong. Come on, you know you want to do the snake to this song!!!! The beats and rhythms of this time period were the bomb and that's evident with this song. While some could argue that in the future this would better be marketed as Midnight Star featuring Natalie Cole, and it may not be what she's remembered for, it's a great groove.
