Have fun with the speed6, coilovers are a blast (excluding rear shock install). Just be prepared to have a loud car with that single exit exhaust, especially if you are thinking of adding a test pipe or down pipe.

At wide open throttle the extrernal wastegate is venting to atmosphere.

you dont need internals for this turbo. the stock internals can handle a gt35 so a gt28 will be no problem.

@silentsoul86 Actually I disagree. The gt35 puts the power band higher up in the rpm range where the internals can handle the torque better. The internals on the ms3/6 hate low end torque. People with a gt28 need to be more cautious about how they get on the throttle than someone with a gt35 does.

Thats how the HKS bypass valve sounds in recirculation. No compressor surge.

the bare minimum would be intake/inlet, turbo, downpipe.

I had an external wastegate setup so you have to add in the external wastegate and the manifold that has been fabbed up for it.

you should definitely get some new HPFP internals as well before.

Thats basically the bare minimum.

hey man... 1 bar (almost 15psi) spring in this video. the car wasnt very quick in this video being untuned (pretty much) and such low PSI.

the suspension is BC racing coil overs... i actually have it set up a bit lower in the rear as of late.

if you build the motor you might as well throw a clutch in.. but i havent heard of too many issues with clutch holding up to that kind of "power" on a mazdaspeed 3/6.

once someone figures out why we cant make the power we should be making (with big turbos) a clutch might become a more real issue.

That depends on what's wrong with it. After installing and then reinstalling the turbo twice and still having issues I quit. Last problem was boost bulding absurdly slow (finally getting to 5psi at redline, not tune dependent), the absurd KR, probably from CPE's flash, and yet another leak from somewhere on the turbo I guess. I didn't even check; didn't care. When I get back I'll redo the turbo install slowly and carefully, and either get the OpenECU flash or AP, as CPE's flash sucks.

hmmm sounds like something must have been fishy.

a lot of people are blowing these cars up so im just driving conservatively until the problems are figured out.

i tuned a bit with the standback but recently switched to the accessport. more control.

I have only been running 15 psi.

one day ill have it professionally tuned, which means ill have some dyno #`s to share, so stay tuned :-)

..I made 327 hp with that turbo at 19 lbs. When motor blew it was set at 15lbs for turbo break in...Like i said your car is amazing I hope we can remain friends and trade car stories...Let me know how tune goes i would love to see what u make... Eric

dane i cant tell u what went wrong...i dont know...I had the same leak u had when they put it on...They fixed that and it tuned for 2 hours on dyno.,I took it for a test spin and it ran great.,,,Dane when i tell u that the turbo is fine it is...Mine motor went because something was wrong with it not turbo..It sounds fucking great and your car is awsome,,,

i had a shop bench test it and they said it looked/ performed fine.

in all seriousness if you blew 40 miles after install or whatever dont you think the shop installed something wrong?

when i first put the turbo on and started it up one of the oil banjo bolts was loose and was leaking oil.

you think anything like this could have been the case with your car?
