I remember that from when I was little, the mall used to have that. The animatronic crocodile used to scare the absolute shit out of me. Sadly, the mall got rid of this place years and years ago. :(

I have see this cafe before but never eaten there. Every time we check this place out in Minniesota, Dad always said that we should save a table if we ever want to eat there. But we shop there. Very nice place.

I went to Orlando when i was 8 and ate at the rainforest cafe at Disney world. i was freaked out by the moving animals and the thunder and lighting that went on every once in a while but then i warmed up to it and started looking around at all the animals. when we left though i saw the tree and went back into scaredy cat mode.

I love the Rainforest cafe! I ate there in San Antonio! <3 they have a Thunderstorm every 20 minutes with fake lightning, rain sounds, and the animals start to freak out.

yes one of the first was made in Minnesota (if i spelled that right) one of the biggest and every 20 mins or so theres a "thunderstorm" its really cool and the food is good

I LOVE the Rainforrest cafe. they have one here in vegas in the MGM right next to the lions almost. they even have a couple in texas. they're SO much fun to go to ^^ they have all kinds of animatronic animals all over the resteraunt where you eat and every 30 minutes they have a "storm" where it gets darker and sounds like rain and thunder with white lights flashing like lightning :D I LOVE IT!!!

I LOVE the Rainforest Cafe! there used to be 1 near me it had a small circular screen on the ceiling that displayed a sky of stars and shooting stars! I miss it ;_; the stupid bulldozers even tear down FAKE rainforests to make stores! the 1 near me also had an animated gorilla that smashed its chest with its fists. I'm so glad there's one in Connecticut! we go there every year or so I'll DEFINITELY remember this one. I've been craving a volcano dessert for years! *stomach growl

I was at the one in Atlantic City. It was cool that the animals screamed every five minutes! I think its funny when you order thic cake that looks like a volcano...the employee bringing it to you shout, "VOLCANO!!" till they get to your table. It tastes good to. :]

I go to the one in NJ a lot. I feel so lucky, like I have a mini Disney world right nearby! The food is very tasty, although honestly nothing much to write home about. Most local NJ diners can make bigger portions at a cheaper price than this place, but the coolness factor is worth it.

But in all honesty the flavors are very interesting and I love Caribbean food so their menu really hits the spot when I'm in the mood for it. I really like their coconut shrimp and my sister likes the ribs.

P.S. Is this just an American exclusive thing? I don't know if that mall is one of those mega malls (like the mall of America kind of thing) that has exclusive stuff but I would love to see one in my local mall.

I love the Rainforest Cafe! The ambiance of the place is absolutely incredible. There are some places that have scheduled "thunderstorms." Those are pretty fun and a little scary if you aren't expecting it.
