As much as I love the Beach Boys I have to agree with you on this one -Creedence version sweeps the floor with BB's version... musically. Becasue ubnfortunately, that great version consist of only the chorus and first verse played over and over, without bringing the story to a conclusion. The Beach Boys version has the complete lyrics and wraps it up. If only Fogerty and company would have recorded the song in its entirety, it would have been even better than it already is.
