  • Love her!!!!! Her accent is amazing!!!

  • Travis ? She couldn't be married to one of the Reid brothers or Alex Harvey's kid ? That would be perfect.

  • she's rad

  • It's Diane!

  • I think Craig emphasises his Scottish accent a little more in this interview. Can't blame him

  • How long by car from Glasgow to the famous-yet-empty Loch Ness?

  • @amazingdany around two and a half hours i think. havent been in a long time but think thats about right :)

  • @adorabell93 Last time you went there was? :)

  • @amazingdany a couple years ago.i come from scotland :)

  • @amazingdany Just over three hours but if you want to stop and admire the scenery it could take you all day why would you want to hurry?.and who said Loch Ness was empty i saw the Monster last week please tell your friends lol

  • Both scottish and cute.Love Scotland!!!

    wow shes hot

  • Shes so beautiful!

  • I have such a crush on her!

  • Princess Merida and Gobber

  • MERIDIA

  • I love Kelly. I would do anything for her. I loved her in Cousin Bette. She is so gorgeous.

  • Bloody weegies, they're all uncultured west coast thieves that stink of pish!

Unlike we east coast Leith folk, who are warm, welcoming and abstinent. Honestly, Leith has to be the most beautiful place in the whole of Scotland!

  • @Leodhas77 You are a fool and a traitor speaking about your fellow countrymen like that.it won't be hard to find you.

  • @mboycen Piss off with that "look at how Scottish I am" way of typing. You're not impressing anyone you fucking embarassment.

  • She's a fox. & brilliant actress.

Boardwalk Empire - Best show out.

Craig Ferguson - Best talk show host out there!

  • I love Kelly.

  • jimmy darmody owns

  • she's absolutely adorable. she's truly is the heart and soul of BE.

  • Essex isn't in London for goodness sakes! A small part of Essex is arguably in the London metropolitan area, but while you can argue that Dagenham is in London, there is no way you can argue that Colchester or Braintree are in London - they are miles away.

Actually when I heard her accent I immediately thought "Edinburgh", but I'm English, so what do I know...

  • @BobTheMunificent give the girl a break she wasn't being insulting.and what is being English got to do with it?.

  • funny how craig always makes fun of that americans think scottish people all know each other and yet whenever a scottish guest is on turns out that theyve worked at the same place or something like that xD

  • @somervillain Craig is from Glasgow. He has noted that several times, he was also born in Glasgow.

  • The "Ubiquitous Chip" for the uninitiated, is a pub come restaurant frequented by pretentiously boring "arty farty" thespian types.

  • @AlbaSiar am not arty farty.am a nurse.a love it.have you actually ever been there?

  • Took me some minutes realising that she is Diane from Trainspotting. I´ve seen this film so many times...

  • I keep pressing the 'Like' button and realised that I've done that like 10 times already.. xD

  • I feel really bad for saying that they have glasgow accents and now there's a debates. I didn't mean for that to happen, I'm just saying, I like their scottish accents (even though her's is more london-y and his is more american-ish) and that the accent is from glasgow.

  • @somervillain I honestly don't know why I'm arguing with you. Really. I couldn't care less. I think its just out of defence of Craig Ferguson, which is sad. I think I've had friends refer to Cumbernauld as Glasgow though. I don't live in Glasgow either. Hmmm. I reckon its a personal choice tbh. I mean, You can live in Cumbernauld and be FROM Glasgow. Someone might have a rich family history there, work there, play there and then reside in Cumbernauld. I'd say that makes you from Glasgow.

  • @WilliamTaylor1 - Ferguson is unambiguously Glaswegian - he was born in Springburn and left for 'nauld as a teenager.

  • @somervillain @WilliamTaylor1 It depends what you mean by Glasgow. These places aren't in Glasgow City but are in the Greater Glasgow urban area, comprising of all towns physically connected to the city. All these places would have Glasgow in the address and a G postcode, with the inhabitants referring to themselves as Glaswegian. How do I know this? I live in Glasgow.

  • ehmm... what is a "chargehand"?

  • @VickTheQuick I'm thinking 'chargehand' is the person who is in charge (runs the bar/head barman).

  • @VickTheQuick ... what is a "chargehand"?

a foreman, supervisor or line manager. In Craig's case a bar manager.

  • @dcanmore

    A charge hand isn't a bar manager.

It'd be bar manager, then assistant manager, then charge hand and then regular bar staff underneath 'em.

  • @somervillain its a twenty minute drive from Cumbernauld to Glasgow Central Station. The place was built to handle the growing population of Glasgow. It couldn't be any more Glasgow. A typical Cumbernauld address is "5 Ettrick Way, Cumbernauld, Glasgow

G67 1NQ" Glasgow's in the address. The only reason you'd say "its no Glasgow" is to consider living in central Glasgow some sort of elitist privilege which is just a bit conceited.

  • Just wait and see if Kevin Bridges is invited onto the show in the future. That'll show you a very different type of Glaswegian accent.

  • She's 35? I thought she was like 23!

  • @misfitsg17 maybe when she did Trainspotting

  • @somervillain Cumbernauld is in Glasgow, isn't it? It's not city centre but saying its not in Glasgow is like arguing Essex isn't in London.

  • @WilliamTaylor1 Essex isn't in London.

  • @WhistlingClarabella Essex isn't in the city centre no but it is in London. You cannot tell me Dagenham isn't in London? Well, Dagenham is in Essex and is part of GREATER London AND THAT IS A SCIENTIFIC FACT!

  • @somervillain yes, he is. He was born in Springburn, which is a district in Glasgow but even though he was raised in Cumbernauld, he says he's from Glasgow, so that's why I said Glasgow.

  • The only things I know about her is that she's married to one of the guys in Travis.. and she was in the last Potter movie

  • way hotter here than on the show.

  • There are different Scottish accents. Think Craig vs. Sean Connery vs. Jackie Stewart. All different. And there's more yet. To me, her accent sounds a lot more like Ireland than Scotland--no glottal stops, no R's rolled and a lilt. I've never heard anyone with a Scottish accent who sounded like her. (I'm not hatin' on her, just find it interesting.)

  • She´s lovely!

  • Supah sleepeeeeh

  • Correct me if i am wrong, I think that she is the 1st guest that didn't go for the cash price since Craig introduced it to the show

  • what a bunch of balls

  • he should have Kelly back with Karen Gillan...a Scot Explosion!

  • @GriffithAMPS maybe they should garbage as the music guest so that shirley manson could be there as well.

  • Craig has to be his Own Old with the accent which is Sexxxxaaayyyyyyyyyyy

  • Haha..i thought Craig had a Scottish accent until this episode :P

  • Whenever Craig has a Scottish guest, his accent gets thicker! :]

  • @Nuttpie Whenever a naked woman presses up against your body, your penis seems to become more alert.

  • Ok I have a feeling someone is going to yell at me for saying this.

When he said "about" at the very end of the interview, there was a VERY thick accent and I loved it. I don't know if maybe he tones the accent down for the show but it just sounded REALLY thick to me at they point.

But I could also be hearing things I don't know. RSA FOREVER :)

  • Loved her in Trainspotting!

  • Travis is a GREAT band indeed.

  • Is it me or Craig shows more accent when he talks with english people than when he talks with american people?

  • Craig and a Scottish guest. Always fun.

It's a small thing, but I loved the explanation of the difference between ubiquitous and omnipresent that Craig slipped in there, even though as part of a joke. I find Craig hilarious, but he also seems to be smart and well-read. I guess I just enjoy glimpses of the intelligence behind the wit.

  • It's conversations like these that make Americans think the outside world is the size of Wales.

  • Loved Kelly MacDonald since Trainspotting. I found it funny that they didn't mention the fact that they both just worked on the same movie (Pixar's Brave).

  • what did she say abt the emmy's, when craig asked her?

was it "sleeping?" lol couldn't tell if it was a scottish thing

  • Ahhh Kelly. She's grown up since Train Spotting but her voice is stiil like an angels =)

  • love those Glasgow accents!

  • @msinarath Her Glasgow accent isn't even very strong compared to others'. I detect some London intonation in her voice!

  • @phatcrayonz LOL hilarious

  • The guests are getting much better at the awkward pauses. So many of them used to interrupt it.

  • FIRST.... to say Thank You! ;) Looking forward to Boardwalk Empire.
