  • That would have been awesome if Jimmy Hart and Luger whipped out their dicks and started pissing on Renegayd after the match. Then Sting ran to save him but said fuck it and joined in on pissing on him too.

  • WCW was so stupid. This guy had some skills he was a good wrestler but these idiots tried to copy the warrior instead of giving him his own gimmick. And btw when he was suposed to be the ultimate warrior why should he give up to luger? They also ruined their copy lol...what idiots

  • @PacoZola They dropped the Warrior-clone gimmick after Jimmy Hart turned on Hogan. Kevin Sullivan defeated him and Jimmy wiped the paint off of his face. He was then given a "Native American" Renegade gimmick, along the lines of Tatanka. He was more-or-less jobbed for the 1996-'98 remainder of his stay.

  • What a powerslam by Renegade!

  • WWE>this pile of shit.

  • What an insult to the Ultimate Warrior for WCW to give that fat piece of shit with no charisma Warrior's gimmick.

  • would have liked to have seen Warrior vs Luger in their primes

  • Renegade looks so sexy suffering with those bulging muscles and skimpy speedo. The torture rack at the end- fantastic. RIP Renegade

  • @heterosp Don't EVER refer to someone as being sexy if/because they're suffering, you queer.

  • This match wasn't so bad and even the screw finish and Stinger coming out was intriguing... WCW did have its ups for sure!

  • Renegade was one of the biggest pieces of shit in wrestling history.

  • What happened to him was sad. After WCW was done with him, no other wrestling organization considered signing him and giving him an original gimmick?

  • This guy suicided after he fired to WCW.

  • Sting used Chris Harris as a stunt double.

If you watch the 1998 Fall Brawl War games with Warrior you will see why Warrior needed a stunt double.

  • Another thing to consider, if they hadn't made him a "Warrior clone," he may have had a better chance at making it in the business.

  • He held the WCW Television Championship within a few months of his debut and had a three month reign. I agree, they should've given him more of a chance after they repackaged him and teamed him with Joe Gomez.

  • Williams actually acted as Warrior's stunt double during Warrior's run in WCW in 1998.

  • I just read that. Why would a professional wrestler need a stunt double though? did you read that on Wikipedia?

  • I will admit, I did find it on Wikipedia. Williams was still with the company when Warrior was there, and if Warrior did indeed use a stunt double, he'd be the perfect candidate, he did look like Warrior...well, from a far distance, anyway.

  • Warrior only needed the double to give the illusion that he vanished while in the ring only to come from the back mere seconds later. That is impossible for anyone to do without smoke and mirrors. Besides, Undertaker used Marty Jannetty as a double at the 1994 Royal Rumble.

  • Hi there.

Excuse my ignorance on the subject, but how do they manage to replace a wrestler with a double with the crowd in there? do they edit it for tv afterwards? that would mean that watching one of these shows live wouldnt be as good as the televised version...

If they do it live I guess I would feel ripped off if i noticed they use stunt doubles. Maybe I'd rather watch the stunt men from the start...

If someone could educate me on the subject it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

  • It was all live. The ring filled with smoke, in which time Renegade (aka "the double"), painted up like Warrior, climbed through a trap door hidden in the ring. When the smoke subsided, the nWo attacked what they thought was Warrior. During the course of the beatdown, smoke filled the ring once again, with "the double" escaping through said trap door. The smoke cleared and the real Warrior ran to the ring from the back, leaving the nWo baffled.

  • @99theinvertedmoron Either he hides under the ring for the whole event or at some point between matches they bring a covered table or some king of gimmick large enough for a person to hide in and climb out of from beyond the fans' line of sight.

  • @99theinvertedmoron Either the person hides under the ring before the fans come in or at some point, possibly between matches, a covered table or some kind of large gimmick (big enough to hide a person in) is brought to the ring and the person is able to exit to under the ring out of the fans' line of sight.

  • @lalberts It wasn't a "Stunt Double" it was used for mind games on the nWo.
