When it comes to blood transfusions O NEGATIVES can donate to any BLOOD TYPE. So AB NEGATIVE will be alright as long as an O-NEGATIVE is close by to give them blood.The O-NEGATIVE can only have O-NEGATIVE.. representing AB-.. i have Basque blood down my line, having Ariztegui and Basurto surnames in my family.

Supposedly in Roman times, they failed to mix blood with these Basque people because of the geography of the area they lived in, their language is unique, probably having to with them being secluded from the romans.. I'm not sure about this information its just passed down..

SO what im trying to say is maybe I have AB- ties through these people, too far fetched?

Positive blood types CAN receive negative blood, and if you Google blood types or blood groups, you'll receive a WEALTH of information regarding the differences in blood. It's SO intersting, a little confusing, but you can definitely get it. I just looked it up because I forget sometimes, even though I'm in the medical field. LOL!

@blazednlovinit - Yes! That is very accurate! In fact, sometimes people tell me how fair I am, and I get very offensive. I don't think I look like a ghost or anything. In my opinion, I have a pinkish hue, but I do have blond hair and blue eyes. Also, contrary to popular belief, I CAN tan. I just don't. The sun's rays are very bad for you, but I'm sure you know that. My hair is dyed brown in my YouTube photo, but it's back to blond. I think that color made me look more pale than I really am ...

I just summarized our discussion, but erased it because it's too involved, meaning I can't explain it all in this little box. At any rate, that is very interesting. My eyes are extremely sensitive to light, and I don't know why this happens, but my pupils are always dilated, especially in light. The same thing with my siblings - we're all negative, my mom's B- and my dad's either AB- or A-.

@MsOutofthebox Its the opposite , rh negative blood is rhesus monkey negative meaning it lacks the common gene with monkeys . RH+ blood is known as monkey blood and 85% of the world has it . RH- blood currently has no accepted explanation in either evolutionary science or archealogy . It is sometimes called "alien blood" or "mutated bloodline " . It appeared out of nowhere between 25,000 and 30,000 years ago .

RH positive blood protects against toxoplasmosis. The reason for RH negative blood in Caucasians is there was no toxoplasmosis in Europe until the introduction of the domestic cat. The AB blood type protects against cholera. Evolution is creative but in the past our specie has suffered a tremendous amount of collateral damage. It will be good when we get the cost of sequencing down so we can avoid problems in the future.

My apologies to the Indian subcontinent: in Asia and most of the rest of the world any blood type that is not (+) becomes rare. Blood that is rh negative is more commonly found in western Europe/northwestern Africa and some Scandinavian countries; but - and I love this part. Many peoples of different cultural backgrounds have mixed over the centuries and thus we have rh negative blood types in places that were not used to having them.
