I think my favorite use of this was in "Exodus, Part 2" as the camera pans out on Galactica getting pounded by the basestars...enter Pegasus to save the day.
Don't forget "Resurrection Ship, Part 2"--Galactica and Pegasus pounding basestars to bits, the resurrection ship being ripped to pieces, glass and metal and Cylon bodies flying through fire . . . and Lee, floating, watching, dying.
I couldn't believe the cliffhanger at the end of Series 1. Seriously, some of the best tv I have ever seen, complemented with awesome music. And then they did it again with Series 4! This series just rules.

A real great and moving piece. Especially that single "thud" in the end. Also a scene in BSG season one finale i will never forget.
