It seems like these deregulation never read Upton Sinclair's, "The Jungle." The disgusting practices of the meat industry those days makes me wonder why anyone would want to get rid of regulations for food. Unless they're under the delusion that being a deregulator means they're automatically immune to the bad effects (food poisoning, injury or even death).
